Best water softener pros near Cold Spring, NY

"We shopped around with about 4 companies for a water softening system. Mark came out to the house, answered all our questions and spent quite a bit of time going through options - didn't try to sell us stuff we didn't need - but thought we did b/c another "big" company tried to sell it to us (we've never needed a water softener in our previous home and were in uncharted waters). Didn't try to sell us a monthly service as others had etc. James came out and installed the system - He was neat, efficient, went over our questions before he left. We had a question the next day and Mark got back to us in 10 min. The quality of our water has dramatically improved. This is a wonderful local, family business,"

"They were great to work with and more competitively priced than culligan. We were selling the home the water system was going into and needed to get the work done quickly before closing to address issues on the inspection report. They were great to work with and very responsive. We ultimately had installed a basic water softener, UV system and new sediment filter housing."

"I recently had a water softener installed by Aquascience of NY and couldn't be happier with the experience. After our first phone conversation with Stephen, the process moved smoothly. The site visit was thorough, and we quickly signed the order. The installation team was professional, helpful, and incredibly knowledgeable about the system. They designed and executed the installation with outstanding attention to detail. Overall, I highly recommend their services for anyone in need of a water softener."

"Excellent experience during a bad situation. We discovered our well head was leaking on a Sunday afternoon. Joe, the owner, came out the same day to assess the problem and told us how to avoid burning out the water pump. Joe and his crew came out the next day. Repaired the problem, with no surprises. He took the time to explain what was wrong and what he needed to do. Very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Everyone at Old Faithful Pump Co is friendly and it was pleasure doing business with them. We recommend Old Faithful Pump Company to everyone."

"Installers were very detailed in how the water purification system work. Very knowledgeable, punctual and remove all my garbage.(old water softener). I would recommend these installers to anyone who need a water purification system in their home."

"I hired Polar Plumbing to replace my existing direct fired water heater because it was reaching end of life and was not keeping up with our hot water needs. I had originally considered a tankless system and when Jared visited my home he took the time to explain the features of the tankless system and contrasted that with an indirect fired system. We decided to go with the indirect system with a whole house filter. At that point I was still meeting with other providers because I wanted to be diligent about understanding the different services and indirect tanks. Through this period Jared and Ray were incredibly responsive and thorough in their responses to my follow-up questions. At one point Jared came back out to my home to perform a water test because I had inquired about a water softener as potentially part of the project, and he was very forthcoming about when he would or would not recommend a water softener which I felt exemplified Polar commitment to satisfying their customers and not just trying to up sell the project. I of course opted to go with them for the project and Mike performed the installation beautifully. It is a big job and the previous water heater and filter installation had not thoughtfully considered the placement of the hardware but Mike was excellent in this manner. All the plumbing looked great and tie-in to the old work was excellent. Mike was very considerate of our water needs and expedited the cold water supply back to the house, so we had access to water. I was beyond satisfied with the entire experience and will definitely be using Polar again for my heating, plumbing, and air conditions needs."

"This was a total positive experience. I would highly recommend Parker Plumbing and Electric. We have owned a home for 40 years and he is the first plumber who actually returned phone calls promptly and answered all our questions and explained the work he was doing. We had a water softener installed as well as other water pressure issues resolved. He does quality work and is very professional and at fair prices with no hidden costs."

"Guy is great! He explains everything in detail and is very responsive. Heâ s done an excellent job with installation of our water heater!"

"I decided to go with Cassidy because out of the 4-5 different companies I contacted, they were the first to respond in a timely manner and their dispatch fee was affordable ($79 vs >$100). The actual service they provided went well. They were on time, finished the whole project within a couple hours and were professional. However, I did remove a star from my rating because they do overprice everything. I was able to cut down my total cost by >$300 by just buying my own supplies (ex: water faucet, basket strainer, faucet aerator, etc.). They were going to charge me $125 for something I was able to get for $4 and fix on my own, which I thought was ridiculous. Overall, I would recommend because they made the whole process go smoothly but I would just be aware of their pricing and make sure they don't trip you off."

"The plumber was courteous & competent. I wouldn't hesitate to call this company again if I needed help."
