"When I was looking for a new high efficiency furnace, I received several quotes and Sure Temp was almost $800 cheaper than any other Carrier dealer. They were on time and did a neat and effective job of installing the furnace. They made sure that everything was clean and all of the paperwork was simple. One was related to a minor issue related to installation that appeared during the winter and was quickly dealt with and three calls were related to an issue outside of their control that was tricky to resolve. "Purchased the deal in the evening on Friday Feb 12, 2016. At time of purchase I advised vendor that best way to reach me is by email or Angie's messaging. Also provided two possible dates in March for the work. Winston responded the next day via Angie's message, and we set up the service date for my  next weekday off, March 2. And I sent him some pictures of the plumbing and street valve. Could not get a commitment on an arrival time, but he called me that morning and advised he had a 9am dentist appointment, and would arrive after that. Showed up with his helper about 1.5 hours later. We could not get the street valve cover off, and thought it belonged to the city, so I made arrangements for Winston to come back today, March 15.
I called the city water dept, and they sent someone over, he said it was not their valve, it was mine and he couldn't touch it, I guess each city is different?.
Anyway, I got the cover off with the help of a saw, a big hammer and a pipe wrench in time for Winston to come back today. We communicated via Angie's messaging in the meantime. Still could not get commitment to arrival time, although I asked for 8am.
Called Winston at 8:15 this morning and he said he would be her by 9:15, arrived at  9:00. We could not get the street valve closed, it was stuck. Not surprised, as it has not been accessed in at least 30 years!. We decided he would put the new valve just downstream of my existing shutoff, and from now on, will not use the old one to prevent further leaks thru the valve stem packing. I also asked him to rebuild the hose bib in the garage adjacent to the main valve, and install heat tape on the pipe before wrapping it (I already had the heat tape, just never got around to installing it. When attempting to replace the washer in the hose bib, the retaining screw broke, so he installed a new hose bib into the old valve body for me. Although I was willing, Winston did not charge extra for the extra trip and the extras I asked him to do.
Overall, I am more than satisfied with this experience. My only complaint is not getting an advance commitment on arrival times. But once I did get a time, he was punctual, even early. Would give an A- on responsiveness if I could. But overall, an A experience!
Will definitely use A REAL PLUMBER again. In fact, we already discussed installing a freeze-proof valve for my backyard hose bib.

"House was built in 1890, 2800 SF, 3 bed room 2 bath and heating and cooling it was a struggle. I had enough, enough of wasting my money on fuel(350 gallons + a month), pellets (2 pellet stoves), and trying to keep the thermostat set on 78-80 degrees in hopes it would be 64 degrees upstairs where my kids, and newborn sleep. I entered all my information into Home Advisor(Angi) and I found Mark Reed and his company on this website. I then read all the reviews this company had, then read the reviews on the other companies the website recommended. I found that Mark and his crew were best suited for the undertaking that was about to take place in my home. Mark and his son Gary met me at my house within a couple days and we spent 3 hours walking my home, studying the problems and climbing in the attic. I received a quote from Mark in person and I asked them to start as soon as possible. The crew was great, kept a clean work space and understanding about all my concerns of them working in the house at the same time my family and I were living there. The project took over 2 weeks to complete, and as the project was nearing the end I could feel the changes almost immediately. I could walk up the stairs and it was the same temp though out the house, even though it was 20 degrees outside. All my thermal barriers were met, and exceeded. Out with all the old insulation(and much more), and in with all new blown-in -R60! The crew exceeded my expectations, and Mark was there on and off checking in. While I was at work, I received pictures and updates throughout the day and the communication was nice. Even with the crews in my house working for the month of February I burned over 90 less gallons of fuel at month. That was with over a week and half of no insulation in the attic at all, holes in my walls, a hole in my gable end for access, crew guys in and out all day, and outside temperatures between 12*-31* degrees. I would contract with The Climate Chief again. I hope this helps the next person looking to save money long term, and I hope everyone has the same blessed experience that my family and I had as well."
