"John was excellent in communicating quickly and he and his staff did an excellent job hauling out our garage. John even swept the garage out when done. Their cleanup was above and beyond. Very reasonable price and we highly recommend."

"What a great job these folks did. We basically were only moving furniture, as we had "pre-moved" most of our clothing and knick-knacks, but what a great job they did with furniture: taking apart and reassembling furniture, wrapping and protecting finishes, and securing our goods on their truck. They did move one closet of clothing, hanging it in wardrobe boxes and rehanging at our destination. They were as busy as bees throughout the process. I highly recommend Moving APT."

"Gene at Pack Rat Rubbish Removal is an absolute pleasure to work with. He is a consummate professional and conducts business with extreme integrity. He does what he says he s going to do and does it in the timeframe he promises. He takes the time to actually listen to what you need and executes that need flawlessly. He cared enough about the job to call a day or two later to make sure all was well and that I was completely satisfied. In the world of contractors that can be flaky at best, it is great to find a business owner that really gets it . Well done Gene and Pack Ray Rubbish Removal; you are now my go to for anything I need in the future!!!"

Hauling questions, answered by experts

When setting up garbage collection service, you must follow New York State recycling mandates and county solid waste rules. Upstate New York winters bring heavy snow, requiring seasonal adjustments for bin placement and road accessibility. Since municipal service gaps exist in rural areas, you need to contract a private hauler. Always separate recyclables properly to avoid rejected bins.

Helpful?

Maintaining your garbage collection service requires keeping bins in excellent condition. In Clinton, freezing temperatures crack lids and wheels, so inspect containers regularly to prevent wildlife from accessing your waste. You must also clear snow and ice from the road edge on pickup day. Keep recycling bins completely free of food residue to comply with county rules and avoid rejected loads.

Helpful?

To plan your garbage collection service, first confirm your specific provider and exact pickup schedule, as rural routes vary. Register with the county solid waste department to learn the rules for acceptable materials. In Clinton, you must plan ahead for winter weather by establishing a clear, accessible spot for bins. Finally, identify local drop-off sites for hazardous waste and bulk items.

Helpful?

Unexpected expenses for garbage collection service in Clinton include out-of-pocket fees for private haulers at rural addresses. You face extra charges for special bulk item pickups and per-load tipping fees when dropping off construction debris at county facilities. Improper sorting leads to recycling contamination penalties. Additionally, haulers charge re-service fees if unplowed snow or improper bin placement causes a missed pickup.

Helpful?

In Clinton, rural road access complicates garbage collection service. Long private driveways, steep hills, and unpaved roads prevent large trucks from reaching your home, especially after winter storms. If your property sits far back from the road or relies on shared private lanes, you must bring bins to the nearest public road or a designated drop-off point to ensure consistent pickup.
