"Andrew and his crew (Dan) did a fantastic job repairing our foundation and parging and painting our basement. Andrew responded to my request promptly and was out to the house within a day to provide an estimate. This level of professionalism and communication continued throughout the entire repair process. As with many projects, there are concerns about timing, the extent of repairs, and more importantly, cost. However, Andrew's pricing was very reasonable, and they finished the project on time. Once the foundation repair process started, we identified issues with the structural integrity of our foundation. Andrew addressed our concerns head-on and provided us with recommendations that did not extend the project's timeline or budget. Andrew and Dan were efficient, clean, and remarkably personable. I highly recommend hiring The Masonry Doctor, and we will undoubtedly be hiring them for other projects around the house."

"Great company to work with, very friendly knowledgeable people and customer satisfaction is their goal. Matt and his crew did a superb job restoring our finished basement after it got flooded when our sump pump had failed during heavy rains. Dual pumps were installed, along with waterproof and mold proof walls and flooring and a Sedona dehumidifier air purification system."

"I needed stucco repair work on an old chimney (and other spots). Grady was meticulous and thoughtful on what approaches and materials would work. Throughout the project they allocated sufficient time for each treatment to cure and inspected the work before proceeding to the next step. Grady started the project with no money down and only required ongoing payments for materials until the project was well underway. The final payment was due only after they did a final inspection. Total project cost was also below other bids."

House Leveling questions, answered by experts

A sinking foundation can be lifted, most often by installing piers to re-level and support the weight of the house. Depending on the cause and extent of the sinking, other methods to lift a foundation include underpinning and mudjacking. Consult a foundation repair pro to determine the best way to lift your sinking foundation.

Most projects take 1-3 hours, with immediate usability after completion.

Concrete leveling can last anywhere from five to 10 years or more, and in some cases, it can be a permanent solution. The longevity depends on the method used and whether the underlying cause of the sinking is addressed. For example, mudjacking typically lasts five to 10 years, while polyjacking can last for 20 years or more. It's best to consult a professional for an accurate timeline based on your specific situation and any factors that could cause the issue to recur.

Yes, expanding foam (also known as polyurethane foam) can lift concrete. This approach, called polyjacking, involves injecting the foam rather than concrete slurry to fill voids and raise the concrete slab back into place. It’s often faster and requires smaller drill holes than traditional mudjacking, though it may come at a higher cost. Some contractors also prefer polyjacking over mudjacking for more damaged and delicate slabs.

Address drainage issues, avoid heavy loads, and seal cracks to prevent future settling.
