"I originally had him come out in January and he gave me a bid. The price was good and he had good feedback. I called him to come out towards the end of February. He was busy with some other jobs and it took him almost two weeks before he could come out to do my job. He actually called me and said his other job finished early and asked me if he could start one business day earlier than we had previously scheduled. He arrived on time and completed the job in one day. The paint turned out great and they were very professional and cleaned up after themselves. "Javier called ahead of time to confirm that he was on his way, and when he arrived, he introduced himself and described what he would do. Then, he pulled out his ladder and climbed onto the roof. He came down to retrieve supplies he needed to apply some fresh tar and mastic where needed. He noticed that a piece of plastic molding was missing over the porch (against the house behind the tile shingles). He did not have one on his truck, so he explained that he had one at his shop and would be back momentarily. He returned within 15 minutes with the molding, installed it, and then reviewed the work he did. He showed before-and-after photos from our roof of the places where he replenished the tar and mastic. The before-photos were very similar to the ones taken a month or so earlier by the home inspector when we were in the process of purchasing the house, so even though I was not on the roof to see what he saw, I feel confident that he found and addressed the needed preventive maintenance. The home inspector had not noticed the missing molding, but Javier did--and he replaced it. We are new to tile roofs, so I appreciate the time and attention that Javier took to make sure that this one is in good shape. "
"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
"The electrical specialist was fast and knew exactly what to do and how to do it. On the other hand the plumbing specialist did not seem to know how to plumb the new kitchen sink and was asking other workers in my kitchen remodel where the cold/hot water lines and did not initially realize he needed a V trap for to reconfigure the sink pipes. When he finally finished nearly 4 hours later and left the sink leaked and had to be called back the next day. He fixed the leak and after he left he forgot to turn on the cold water and only had hot water in the sink. He also installed the faucet the wrong way and had to unscrew and turn it around. I would say if I have electrical work I would not hesitate to call Ren Pro but would definitely pass on any plumbing work. In fairness, they cut the time in half to accommodate for the plumbing mishaps. However, because the plumber left one of his tools, they came back to get it and on the return visit asked for a quote for some other work. They never got back to me."
