"Jimmy is a true artisan! He recently completed an extensive project at my home, which involved wallpaper on multiple walls and Venetian plaster. The beauty he left behind will bring me daily joy for years to come. On top of his attention to detail, he is very kind and enjoyable to speak with, willing to pivot as need be to get the job done, and such a lovely person. He guided me through the process from initial design concept, wall preparation (walls must be smooth before he begins for both wallpaper and Venetian plaster), material purchase, to final completion when we stepped back and observed the artwork. I cannot recommend Seamingly Straight enough! Book ahead because he is popular!"
"Victor confirmed the date, arrived on time and total work took less time. He was very neat taping and paper to protect areas not painted. He painted a garage door and front security screen door. Patched plaster 6 small spots that I will paint myself. He did terrific job of painting ceiling water stain spots that we previously used Klitz that did not do very good job. I would highly recommend and use him for any interior painting. "

"Craig was our salesperson he was great but needs to always bring a calculator. We were going to use the tiles they have in stock and add specialty for the steps but when we got to the tile place he referred we found the perfect tile to go around the whole pool. I asked if he would discount since we would provide our own tiles and he was fine with it. Our only issue with that is the person they send to collect the check did not have the paperwork with him and I told him the amount should have a 170. discount and he said to pay the full amount and the office would take care of any difference right away. I have been waiting 4 weeks and each time I call the offce either Margie or Kim said they forgot to call the main office in CA to request the check to be sent. The deck around the pool was left a little messy and has plaster and chalking on the new cool deck we just had done. Note to always have the pool done first then decking but that was done by another company a few months earlier. The process it self was really painless they were in and out so fast we couldnt believe it was already done. The pool looks beautiful and we couldnt be happier. We did a lot of shopping around and they did have the best price and Craig was very honest and upfront about everything. I think he is a good sales person no high pressure we actually had him first look at the pool in Jan and we finally decided to go ahead late March. Yes we have and will refer the company. The check reimbursement is an annoyance but Im sure Craig will take care of it. I also want to say as far as the pool resurfacing all A's across the board the lower scores for professionalism and responsiveness is due to having to chase the overpayment. "
"This was a great deal! My house was built in 1979, and is mostly still the original house. It is in need of many repairs and upgrades. My husband and I joke about our 80-year remodeling plan because so far we have been doing it ourselves and the work is going very slowly. Recently we decided that when a project stalled because we lacked the manpower, willpower or skill set, we would get some help. I talked to many of my neighbors about the handymen and general contractors they had used. Mostly they complained, so I joined Angie's list and started watching the reviews and the deals. When Vegas Remodel offered a "contractor for a day" deal for $249, I jumped at it. What could I lose? Damon responded within 24 hours of my buying the deal and came over to assess the mess the next day. Vegas Remodel does everything I need including flooring, electrical and plumbing. For our trial 1 day project I picked a room that needed a new floor. He told me what materials I needed, said he could work with the stuff I had already picked out, and scheduled the job for the next week. The job involved lots of tile, so it turned out to be approximately 2 half days rather than all on one day. Damon worked with one assistant, and they were both polite, punctual, tidy and FAST! The room is beautiful. I have no complaints except that the rest of the house looks pretty crappy by comparison. We had a discussion with Damon about possible next projects and I plan on calling Vegas Remodel next time we find ourselves in over our heads and in need of help.

Plaster provides a durable, soundproof, and moisture-resistant finish compared to drywall.
Plaster that sags or bulges, shows extensive deep cracks, or is crumbling from water damage or simply time may need replacement. Plaster walls can look a little “worn” for a long time before they need replacing. The only real way to know if it needs a replacement is to hire a professional to assess the condition of the plaster.
It may take a bit of patience and trial and error to match your particular drywall texture type when making repairs. For orange peel or knockdown finishes, use a spray texture product or a thinned joint compound applied with a roller or sponge. Practice on scrap drywall or cardboard first. Once dry, lightly sand and prime before painting.
Costs depend on damage size, labor rates, and whether additional services like painting are required.
The cost to repair a ceiling after a water leak can vary, with averages ranging from $419 to $1,359, or $45 to $55 per square foot. Smaller patches may cost around $150. The final price depends on the size of the affected area and the extent of the damage. Remember that you will also need to repair the source of the leak, such as roof damage or a plumbing issue, which can cost an additional $200 to $1,550. Depending on the situation, you might also face costs for repainting or repairing floors. For an accurate estimate, it is best to get a quote from a professional.
