"It went great. Jaime repaired the hole that was required to fix plumbing leak. The repair blends right in with the drywall already there."

"My home is a track home built in the early 80's. Single story, vaulted ceilings with stucco exterior. I was interested taking advantage of the rebate for insulation and saw G&R's ad in Desert Companion. "Chad" was on time to the appointment, answered every question I had, and never attempted to up sell me.  Within a week the install started. The first crew, came and blew the insulation. Then the "painter" arrived to install the radiant barrier. By mid-day the foam installers started. Everyone impressed me. Very clean in the work they did and how they presented themselves. The foam injection was the most interesting process. Holes drilled into the exterior of the house, lots of holes. Foam is then injected. At this stage it looked like a mess. Foam on the sidewalk, dripping down the wall, ect. The crew explained that it simply sweeps off the stucco, and dissolves with a bit of water. Which it did, not a trace of mess anywhere. The next day a stucco patch crew came out. Patched not only the holes created by the crew but also patched a chunk of wall I had damaged with my bumper months ago. I cannot even find where the holes were. The radiant barrier had an odor during application, mostly in the garage where the painter had set up. The odor did not linger for long. Maybe an hour after he finished. After the foam was injected, I did notice a rotten egg smell on the interior walls. The foam had displaced the air inside the walls. The yuck factor lasted for a couple of hours. By the time I went to bed, it was fine. I can now sleep through the night without hearing my neighbors truck start every night at 11pm. Well worth every penny. Rare to find such prof. people."

"

Victor and his assistant repaired the drywall ceiling on my patio.  First they had to remove all the tape that was

falling off and then scrape the paint off the drywall.  The also had to re-fasten some of the drywall as the contractors

had not done all the work correctly.  They then re-taped the drywall and put a primer coat on it.  Later they repainted the

surfaces with two coats of paint.  They did a very through job and were also very careful not to damage any of my

property and did a good job of cleaning up when they finished.

If I need this type of work again I certainly would consider hiring them again.

"We had a total of 4 painters bid on this job, which consisted of painting the stucco of our house, two exterior entrance doors, and the metal fences and gates. Diesel Painting and Drywall was the most responsive of the bids and the lowest bidder by a small amount. The crew were all polite and worked quickly and efficiently. They power washed the building the first day and began scrapping the wood trim areas. The second day they completed scrapping and began painting. The painting was completed the 3rd day. There was some minor clean-up and touch-ups the 4th day. I was completely satisfied with his job."

"I had a bad toilet leak in my bathroom which caused significant mold and water damage in a number of walls. Bruce came in with the best price for the work and started work on the mold removal within 1 day. His team did the mold removal work and complete bathroom restoration including flooring, door frames, and walls. Now my bathroom looks brand new!
Bruce was very honest about cost - in this type of work you never know how much damage you really have till you open up the walls. Bruce's price never changed from the original bid. The work was done in a professional and timely manner and he is very easy to work with."

"The house was built with an open-air deck above one half of the garage, and the garage completely sheet rocked, textured, and painted.  A water leak developed in the deck a while ago and damaged the ceiling below.  The deck was resealed and tested, and we finally got around to having the garage ceiling repaired.  I had Tim of Tim's Handyman Services come out, look it over and give me an estimate.  I was favorably impressed and we scheduled the work.  Tim and an assistant arrived on the scheduled day and began removing the damaged sheet rock.  At this point  it was found that the ceiling was insulated with fiberglass batts which were somewhat moldy.  The old batts were removed, the area cleaned with bleach, and, after a trip to the store, replaced.  New sheet rock was then installed,  taped and sanded, then sprayed with popcorn texturing to match the rest of the ceiling.  The entire job was done in two days and looked great.  The estimated price was adjusted to cover the new insulation and was very reasonable.  I was extremely satisfied with all aspects of the job.  Before he left, I had Tim look at a concrete patio I wanted tiled, and he is doing that job even as I write this review.

"It took longer, as Jung had to access through the attic, only to discover about five feet of insulation above the spare bedroom. He is, without a doubt, determined, also friendly, courteous, professional, on time, and fair priced. I will definitely hire him again!!!!!! It's nice to finally find some one with his experience, and knowledge."

"Fantastic! The stucco looks great. Almost perfectly color matched to the house (it's very difficult to get exact). He even put a layer of protection from water damage at the bottom. I would 100% recommend and would hire Dejuan and his crew again for sure."

Drywall Insulation questions, answered by experts

Yes, walls on the top floor can be load-bearing if stacked on the floor’s foundation.

Whether you can reuse a drywall anchor depends on its type, material, and how it is removed. Plastic anchors, such as expansion or self-drilling types, are generally considered single-use because they are designed to expand and are likely to break or become deformed upon removal. Metal anchors, like toggle bolts, are more durable and can often be reused if they are not damaged during extraction. However, with toggle bolts, the toggle mechanism can fall inside the wall when the bolt is removed, making it difficult to retrieve. If an anchor is damaged or must be cut for removal, it cannot be reused regardless of its material.

There shouldn’t be any gaps between your walls and ceiling. These can be fixed with joint compound but that is only a fix, and it’s much better if your drywall fits correctly in the first place. Sometimes gaps can appear if your foundation shifts significantly but if this is the case, you have a much bigger problem than patching drywall.

Water-damaged drywall should almost always be replaced. Not only does it look bad, it’s a breeding ground for toxic mold. Even if you think the area is dry and there’s no active leak, the only way to be sure is to cut out the damaged area and see for yourself.

For maximum stability, install grab bars on wall studs, as this will adequately support the weight. However, if you don't have access to studs, you can get by with wall anchors. If opting for the latter, choose specialty hollow wall anchors.
