"Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. Extremely professional friendly, top-notch communication and the installation layout and quality is incredible. They layout of the equipment he installed allows for easy access to change filters and monitor the system. The outdoor equipment is concealed and protected by an imitation rock he installed. To top it off they were also very competitive. I highly recommend this company. If you need a plumber, this is the company you need to choose. "

"We bought the place knowing the water pipes needed to be replaced and it was the first task we took on after closing. D&D were good to work with. They were on time, had to track where the water lines were, cut out minimal drywall to do so, and worked with us to relocate the heater indoors from the crawl space, add water overflow pan/drain and were flexible regarding how to run the lines for an expected new washer/dryer. The whole job took two days to complete, with us taking care of drywall repairs later. We had one small and very slow drip leak involving one Rehau connector to the water heater which they fixed with a new Pex constriction ring. We have near instant hot water in the master bath now, very quick elsewhere; lower bills and greater confidence in the water pipes. The also fixed the main sewer line which was hanging low due to broken nylon hanging bands using a better strap system and J-hook at a 90 degree elbow at a corner. Our water pressure was well over 80 PSI with no regulator to begin with and the addition of a regulator was welcome relief to the potential effects. They replaced the "home made" home-run system made with individual T connectors on both hot and cold sides with a standard layout that is efficient for our small place. They included new hose bibs with frost protection brass fittings. The only concern we had was a pipe crossing in the primary wet wall between the utility room and master bath caused us to have to trim out the studs for drywall to fit well afterwards. We brought this to their attention and know they took some action to address it, but turned out not to be enough to satisfy the drywall; shimming the drywall out worked well enough, just a little more time. All in all, we were very satisfied with the effort and thought it well worth the price to get rid of the risk with polybutylene pipes and getting the water heater in a better environment.."

The 8-12 week delivery promise meant new windows by mid-February. I heard nothing from their office for months. 12 weeks became 3 months, 4 months, 6 months and NO windows, no communication. My sales rep turned this over to a service rep and didn't tell me. Calls and emails went unanswered for days and weeks. In April, I posted on their facebook page, receiving a response installation had been scheduled, even tho I had not been called! Early May 2023: Installation day comes and 4 of the first 6 windows off the trailer were made wrong. It includes one of the 'not possible" windows built as originally promised. There were 10 days of unpleasant phone calls to hash this out, with a reminder that I had signed a contract and owed them payment. They also signed a contract and didn't deliver as promised. Late May 2023: After a discount offer, I allow them to install what they have and reorder the remainder, with a 4-6 week stated delivery. 6 weeks later, they say they have 2 of my 3 windows, yet I'm owed 4! Late September 2023: Four more month yields three good windows and one still incorrect. This crew fixed 3 of the prior window installations, which were very poor. Several exteriors had caulk that pulled away. One interior window had a tape wad filling a gap behind caulk and trim. November 2023: The final window arrives and is installled, 53 WEEKS after the original sales call. Bottom line: Universal used high pressure sales tactics, is really bad at keeping promises, bad at communicating with the customer and bad at talking within the company."
