Rototilling
We bought a flatbed from Greenline. They provided a quote for the cost of installation. I informed them we had a fifth wheel hitch that needed to be removed from the old bed and installed on the new bed and asked how much that would cost. This sales rep told me that would be included in the price quoted for installation. We drove 250 miles to take them the truck for the installation and made arrangements to stay the night, as they indicated it would take about 9 hours to complete. We dropped the truck off the afternoon before our morning appointment, so they could start on it first thing. We stopped by during installation on that day and found that it was going to take them all that day and some of the next to actually complete the job. We had to vacate our room the next day and needed to depart by noon. They promised they would have it done. We stopped by the second day to see how things were progressing. My husband found that they were installing the fifth wheel hitch incorrectly, so he told them to stop work on that and that he would install it himself afterwards. Since we were told that the hitch install was included in the quote install price, we asked for a reduction in the cost for labor. Another sales rep. had been assigned to our job, and this new rep. informed us that the cost of the hitch install WAS NOT included and that they were doing it as a favor, so they declined a reduction in the labor cost. When I informed this sales rep. that the first sales rep. specifically told me it was included, he said the original sales rep. denied telling me that. Even without working on the hitch, they did not finish installing the new flatbed until after 2 PM. We left very dissatisfied. Worse yet, when my husband was looking over their installation the next morning, he found that the manufacturer's specfications called for the bed to be installed NO CLOSER than 3 inches to the truck cab. In measuring the clearance between the bed and the cab, he discovered it was installed less than 1 1/4 inches, which meant that the bed would have to be completely detached, relocated to the proper clearance and then refastened to the truck frame, which required weld removal and re-welding work. We immediately informed Greenline of their error and after much back and forth discussion and shared photos of the work, they finally agreed to refund half the cost of installation. Bottom line, we would not recommend them.
