"Had to replace vent hose due to holes, that should cut down on dust in the house. We have 3 long hair cats, the ehaust vents had more in them than I thought. The two gentelmen were polite and did this disabled veteran right."
During inspection found the duct was crushed. When we inspected the duct via camera inside the duct we found insulation exposed. We removed old and replaced with New ducting.

"I am so pleased with the service from A-Bear, I will choose them for all of my heating, cooling and plumbing repairs needed in the future. The technician was completely professional and extremely thorough. He was so informative that he answered questions I would not have even thought of to ask. I was very impressed, to say the least. More than happy to join the A-Bear Club. I have already passed this info on to neighbors, family & friends. I HIGHLY recommend this company. :)"

"Jerry and his team do quality work in the timeframe that they promise time and again. I am a local realtor and work in property management. I use this team for my clients and myself. They successfully repaired and installed new A/C units for my commercial clients and installed water heaters in homes although not their main concentration."

Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

The cost of annual maintenance depends on the type of HVAC system you have. AC service typically costs an average of $200 but ranges from $100 to $550. If your system needs repairs, the price will vary significantly depending on what needs fixing. However, addressing the issues as they arise can prevent further damage to your unit and keep it operating efficiently for much longer.

Both evaporator coils and condenser coils are recyclable and contain valuable, sellable metals such as copper and aluminum. Not only is it more earth-friendly to take them to a local metal recycling facility, but you can also trade them in for cash. Also, once the coils are removed from the system, they won’t have any traces of refrigerant, so you won’t have to arrange for recycling Freon or R-410A unless you’re disposing of the entire AC system.

The difference between a home surge protector and an HVAC surge protector is that an HVAC surge protector is designed to protect the components inside your HVAC unit while a home surge protector is installed near appliances and meant to protect your entire home. There are three tiers of whole-house surge protectors, and they are more expensive to install than HVAC surge protectors.

You should only run your dehumidifier in warmer months, such as spring and summer, to get the best performance out of your system. The air gets drier when temperatures drop in the winter months, creating less of a need for a dehumidifier. However, when to run a dehumidifier will depend on your local climate.

Fixing a leak in an AC unit costs $200 to $1,600, depending on the type of leak and any related damage. But depending on the age and condition of your AC, it might make more sense to replace the AC unit instead of repairing it. If your AC is only a few years old and relatively problem-free, then repairing it is the right call. But if it’s nearing a decade old and has other issues, consider replacing it.
