"Randy MacKay (the owner) and Gary arrived right on time to update my upstairs powder room.  First thing they did was lay down drop cloths from the front door to the bathroom to protect the carpet.  They worked together to complete all the above tasks in a very timely manner (about 6 hours).  Both Randy and Gary are very detail oriented, and make sure everything is done to perfection.  We had Randy do work for us on a major bathroom remodel when he worked for another company before he started this company, and were extremely pleased with his work.  When they finished, the clean up was fantastic.  I would call Randy for any remodel or repair job I needed done, and know the job would be done well and the price would be fair.

"Daniel and his crew did my quartz countertops on May 1st. They came in the morning and were finished by dinner with the whole project! He communicated throughout the project. Good price and a great job. Would not hesitate to use Precision Granite again. Thank you Daniel."

"This is a great company offering not only top notch work, but excellent bang for the buck. The installation of floor to ceiling tile for a walk in shower and matching tile floor is exquisite. Ernesto was a pleasure to work with and was the "tile master" of all time. Renee was highly knowledgeable and offered me excellent insight and service. This is the place for affordable high quality tiling."

"Review by Margot R Project: Installation of Pergo laminate flooring in multiple rooms of high rise condo After much research for both materials and contractors I am so pleased with the end result. I only wish my search for just the right flooring was as easy as finding just the right Las Vegas flooring installation contractor: Soebbing Flooring Inc. dba ES Design. One of the primary websites that I used was HomeAdvisor (and also Angieâ  s List and the Better Business Bureau). All the positive comments made about ES Design were true. My first and primary connect was Renee Ferrari. She is an absolute pleasure to work with: attentive, responsive, but neither pushy, nor an â  upseller.â  Because our home is a high rise condo and water damage from sprinklers, as well as leakage from other units, is a definite concern Renee suggested Luxury Vinyl Plank. When I told her my research had included LVP, but that I could not find any that I thought really looked enough like hardwood to suit me, so I had chosen Pergo TimberCraft + WetProtect Waterproof Hillcrest Hickory Handscraped Wood Plank Laminate Flooring. She said that she thought what I had selected would be suitable for our needs â  with one minor adjustment as an extra safety precaution - because we were also putting it in the kitchen (the LR/DR and kitchen are one large â  great roomâ  ) â  and that was to unhook the dishwasher to avoid possible leaks. For us that was highly doable, because we do very little cooking, and thus, very little washing up. The installation went without a hitch. The crew, headed up by Jose, was not only on time, but actually early, every day. They worked diligently, but did not rush. They did detailed work that I had not even thought of, and cleaned up each evening before they left. Renee came by to check to make sure that things were going properly and that I was satisfied with the progress. They actually finished the job before I had anticipated it would be completed â  and most importantly, no project drama! I could not be happier with the end result: work product, service and materials and would highly recommend both Soebbing Flooring/ES Design and Pergo TimberCraft + WetProtect Waterproof Hillcrest Hickory Handscraped Wood Plank Laminate Flooring."

Countertops and Backsplashes questions, answered by experts

Concrete countertops require regular upkeep to maintain their appearance and durability, and are generally considered harder to maintain than other materials. For daily cleaning, use a mild, pH-neutral cleaner and avoid harsh, acidic products that can damage the sealant. It is crucial to wipe up spills immediately, especially from acidic substances, as concrete stains easily. To protect against stains and moisture, the countertops must be resealed periodically—at least once a year, if not more frequently. Additionally, use a cutting board to avoid scratching the surface. Be aware that concrete is also prone to cracking over time, which may require repairs.

You can likely use spray paint or a paint sprayer for your laminate countertops. You should prep the space the same way as if you were painting with a roller or brush, making sure to cover any areas that you want to protect with a drop cloth or plastic sheets.

If you are building a laminate countertop from scratch, instead of buying premade laminate countertops, you can use particle board underneath the laminate. You will need to use a sheet of particle board for the substrate, along with four-inch strips underneath the edges. For proper installation, make sure that any seams are level and use a sander as necessary before installing the laminate.

Concrete and granite are both extremely durable materials. One isn’t necessarily better than the other. It depends on what you’re looking for. That said, granite is less costly and requires less maintenance. Furthermore, concrete is more prone to staining and cracking, though you can patch the cracks using a concrete patching compound.

No, you should not put a hot pan or pot directly on a quartz countertop. While quartz is generally heat-resistant, the resin binders used in its manufacturing are sensitive to extreme heat from items exceeding 150 degrees Fahrenheit. This can damage the resin, leading to discoloration, burns, or even cracking. To prevent permanent damage, always use trivets or hot pads for hot cookware.
