"It did not go well. I got conflicting stories from various people. When installers came, one did not speak any English. Neither introduced themselves. The countertop, despite two visits and laser measuring, was done incorrectly, with gaps at all four corners of the sink. They tried filing it in with adhesive, which fell out the next day. They then sent another person who did fix with gaps - albeit there should never have been gaps, but the guy who was to reset the sink, left it dripping on my rug, and then did not put it in straight and I had to insist that he sealed it. They left a mess both times when they left, and never apologized, and I never received a follow up on my satisfaction. The quartz itself is good quality but the service was bad and I would never use them again."

"After the inspection was performed, Vernon, call me right away. He informed me of the extent of the foundation damage , and what was the root cause of it. The house was recently flipped, and his photos showed the poor quality of workmanship by the company, heat ducting smashed closed, no pads for blocking if the floor beams, a portion of the crawl space was so narrow, it would only be able to be accessed from the top side.He also provided me with a verbal ball park estamate on what it would take to correct these problems."

"Joe was amazing. He quickly replaced the valves and installed the new fawcett. He was kind and patient, answered all our questions and cleaned up after he was done. We found a drip under one of the bathroom sinks after he left so we called and he came right back. Turns out it was the hose that was faulty and he replaced it, no charge, even though it was our hose and had nothing to do with his work. "We hired Setcon to pour appx. 1,000 sq ft of concrete. Just over 24 hours after the pour, cracks began to appear on the walkway connecting the two large slabs. An additional 5 cracks appeared on the primary pads which increased in size as the pads cured, several extending in excess of five feet. During initial consultations prior to the pour, Setcon indicated precautions to prevent cracks such as a wet cure would not be necessary. Additional matters that were poorly executed included an extremely aggressive slope of the pad from the house, unsymmetrical curves on the walkway, low spots in the stamping, and rough inconsistent borders in certain sections on the slabs (i.e. voids). After being informed of the cracks and other deficiencies, Setcon wrote off our dissatisfaction and stated our concerns were purely cosmetic in nature. Although Setcon initially set an expectation their premium price was for premium work, the final product and follow through is nothing short of mediocre."

The mortar between bricks isn’t as stable as other building materials and methods.

Choose from an abundance of natural and synthetic options when perfecting your hardscape design. Stone veneer costs a bit less, holds up against the tests of time and weather, and also works best in curves and complex walls.

Natural stone, however, provides an organic look to a lawn while providing just as much strength as veneer. Don't forget you can chat with your mason about other common wall materials like brick, cinderblock, and concrete.

They offer durability, aesthetic appeal, and resistance to weathering compared to concrete or asphalt.

The best tool for drilling into brick or mortar is a rotary hammer drill which is a large hammer drill with low rotation speed and high torque. Regular drills with a hammer function are also excellent tools for drilling into brick when the diameter of the hole is 1/2 inch or less. It might be possible to drill into brick with a standard drill if you’re only drilling a very small hole, but note that masonry work will put a lot of wear on a standard drill, and the tool may not be strong enough to get through brick.
