"In using Home Experts I would fist say that my rating is granted as so because of the following. The flooring project was not attacked with great expertise by the owner causing the workers to come back to correct it. The company's lack of communication hindered my expectations of their final work. With that being said Home Experts also took on the job of performing interior painting of two bedrooms. The quote was for an additional living space and stairway hall area which was never consulted back with me thereafter. The owner charged me half of the quoted price which I believe was VERY STEEP for just two bedrooms with paint flaws here and there so that work I would say was just mediocre. Upon speaking with a representative at Angi list I was informed that they" interview" contracting companies based on license and bonded/insured but not so much on customer service. Just as my time and effort to hire contractors is important to me, I suggest that this should be part of Angi's criteria."

"I have been using this service for quite a few years and would not go anywhere else. My carpet is beige and 30 years old. The first year I used them was after I had tried to clean it myself with a store machine. There were orange spots everywhere and I was beside myself! They removed the spots and cleaned my carpets beautifully then and every time since then. The carpets aren't going to last much longer, but at least they are clean and look terrific. The countertop, despite two visits and laser measuring, was done incorrectly, with gaps at all four corners of the sink. They tried filing it in with adhesive, which fell out the next day. They then sent another person who did fix with gaps - albeit there should never have been gaps, but the guy who was to reset the sink, left it dripping on my rug, and then did not put it in straight and I had to insist that he sealed it. They left a mess both times when they left, and never apologized, and I never received a follow up on my satisfaction. The quartz itself is good quality but the service was bad and I would never use them again."

The rule tells you how to cut tile to install it in a corner. The 3/4/5 rule recommends that you should have 3 feet across on one straight line, four feet on the other perpendicular line, and 5 feet of length from the end of one of the lines to the other. You’re making a right triangle with the tile, and the hypotenuse (the line across from where the 3-foot lie and 4-foot line meet) should be 5 feet long.

There are no unbreakable rules of design, but experts recommend against using large tiles in areas with poor subflooring where they’re more prone to cracking, in areas where the floor isn’t entirely level, over raised areas or dips, and in bathrooms where budget is the primary concern. The size of your bathroom shouldn’t be a reason not to use large tiles; in fact, larger tiles, also known as slab tiles, can be a modern and sleek choice for bathroom floors and walls.

Unfortunately, retiled bathrooms don't always get much mileage. Because the tiles are constantly being walked on, they can wear out more quickly. However, a well-done tile job can last many decades, and with proper care and regular resealing, it can last 10 years or more before needing a retiling.

Like glass tiles, you will not need to seal most porcelain tiles, particularly if the porcelain is already glazed. It depends on quality. Porcelain is very water resistant, but it is not 100% waterproof. To avoid staining, some homeowners use a penetrating sealer. It is also a good idea to seal your grout. Unless you use epoxy grout, grout is very porous and can harbor bacteria, mold, and mildew.

When choosing tiles for a shower floor, avoid highly porous tile materials, like those with a water absorption rating over 7%. Don’t use non-vitreous tiles, or tiles fired at low temperatures, because they will absorb more water. If you use a highly porous tile in the shower, the tiles can wear down faster, meaning they’ll need to be replaced much sooner.
