"Miller and his colleagues were able to do a lot of things quickly. Along with everything else, they also grabbed some old furniture that I needed help moving to the curb. They took several cares to make sure nothing was damaged during the move, including wrapping the furniture, turning off all the lights, and packaging the picture frames."

"Yul was great. He was friendly, communicated clearly and effectively, and came when he said he was going to. He took care of the job quickly and was very generous with his services. He had superb equipment for the job. I would definitely suggest him to anyone in the Taos County area looking for junk removal."

"We're very happy and relieved to have the old deck gone, in short time and for a reasonable price.
Phil and 2 men showed up just as planned.  We had talked beforehand via Angie's messaging about details.  Confirmed again after their arrival.   The job took  about 3 hours on site.
The guys jumped right in and worked efficiently, thoughtfully, and carefully.  There was no collateral damage during the removal of the 200 square foot deck, in spite of a concrete patio just below.  The old pressure-treated wood couldn't stand up to NM sun and the former residents' dogs?and it had become a great spider habitat  and leaf/trash catcher.
The old wood couldn't be burned, had too many screws to salvage without doubling the costs, so Phil and his crew cut it up into pallet-sized chunks - too heavy to recycle into pallets sadly.  They hauled it all to the landfill.
Phil answered my questions about what had gone wrong with the original install (someone else's), and was very generous with his knowledge, and didn't shy away from telling me what I needed next.
One minor problem:  there was lots of dirt, junk, etc. under the old deck that I had specifically asked to be bagged.  Trying to be extra helpful, they put it directly into my compost bins - junk included.

"Great job.  Sean was prompt and carefully explained options.  We decided to replace our existing tar and gravel roof with a new synthetic roof (that comes with a 20 year warranty). We hired Blue Sky based on reviews and were not disappointed.  The first day some of workers spend 12 hours preparing the surface for the new roof.  While outside watering I noticed a worker, at the end of his 12 hour day, walking the perimeter of our house picking up individual pieces of gravel and other debris from the roof.  I was impressed.  The area around our house was clean, no vegetation suffered from the work.  I am grateful for the professionalism and care Blue Sky took when working on our property.  I highly recommend this company!  Thank you to Sean and his workers, great job!"

"The guys scraped and repaired all of the parapets around the roof edge, they removed and replaced an entire exterior wall surface, and fixed many cracks and chips all around the house. The stucco had weathered over the years and naturally started to crack and peel off. They did a wonderful job and for a very reasonable cost with 50% down for materials then 50% at job completion."

Hauling questions, answered by experts

Homeowners consistently underestimate the extreme weight and density of adobe debris, which requires specialized equipment or multiple trips. You must account for narrow, unpaved roads and avoid blocking local acequias during the hauling process. Seasonal weather in Taos also disrupts access, as summer monsoons create deep mud and winter snow blocks rural routes. Finally, plan around limited hours at local solid waste facilities to ensure timely disposal.

Helpful?

Prioritize hauling away dead trees, juniper slash, and heavy brush to create defensible space and mitigate wildfire risks in the Taos foothills. You should then remove any accumulated junk, old farm equipment, or abandoned building materials left by previous owners. Clearing debris from arroyos prevents flooding during monsoon season. Finally, address deteriorating outbuildings and failing adobe structures to ensure your property remains safe and ready for future renovations.

Helpful?

In Taos, homes generate heavy adobe and earthen debris from crumbling walls or stucco repairs. You will also encounter bulky wood waste from replacing traditional viga and latilla roof systems. Routine hauling includes clearing juniper and sagebrush for fire mitigation, removing old septic components, and disposing of recurring wood ash from winter heating. Snow-damaged flat roofs or collapsed portals also create significant debris requiring removal.

Helpful?

A proper hauling job in NM leaves your property completely clear without damaging nearby unpaved roads or irrigation acequias. Professionals provide proper disposal documentation showing materials went to an approved facility instead of being illegally dumped in local arroyos. Correct work involves separating clean, reusable adobe soil from mixed construction debris. Any hazardous materials like asbestos or lead paint require strict handling and specific disposal records.

Helpful?

You must identify the exact locations of underground utility lines, septic systems, and local acequias before hauling begins to prevent accidental damage. Decide early whether to salvage clean adobe bricks for reuse or dispose of them entirely. You are also responsible for verifying current NM burn bans if burning vegetation, securing neighbor approvals for shared access routes, and disclosing potential hazards like lead paint in older homes.
