"When Joanie saw the grease under the stove hood, she went out and purchased a new tool that she said would do the trick. Under the hood was not only de-greased, but it looked brand new. The areas cleaned were spotless! 2 women came to clean for about 4 hours. They are meticulous in their cleaning and I only wish I had their patience so I could be willing to clean the way they do! They were pet friendly (2 cats) and the cats were not at all disturbed by the cleaning."

"Outstanding! No spots remain, carpet soft and fluffy under foot! Pleasant, capable Technician very comfortable with pets. He used the latest equipment, and the carpet, which is over 17 years old, looks like new again! Very reasonable price for very efficient service. I have recommended this service to friends, and would definitely use them again. They offer a wide range of cleaning services, including stone, tile, upholstery, leather, dryer vent, among others. Thanks, Angie!"

"Two whole sections of the wall had to be replaced. The base was laid to perfection and each block is continually checked for plumb once placed.  Leo makes sure everything is done correctly.  He periodically cleans his tools and the surrounding area. The wall is coming together beautifully!.  I'm confident  that wall will be here for many years.

"They haven't even cleaned for me yet but when I say the customer service AND PRICES are INCREDIBLE! I'm not even exaggerating. Her communication leaves no room for confusion and she came to my house and gave me the lowest price of all of the Angie certified cleaners in my area including shampooing of rugs and upholstery! I am confident her services (yes she cleans with her team!) will only impress me more! Plus her vibe is very personable like a friend helping you out! Don't waste your time getting a bunch of quotes. Just call Purus! You won't regret it! She starts this weekend for me? Addition: This company absolutely KILLED IT!! The attention to detail has my house my cloth sectional and my rugs looking BRAND NEW! It wasn't even this clean when I moved in!!! I have booked biweekly cleanings going forward. They are very professional, thorough, and nice! I'm telling everyone you won't regret it. They worked HARD! AMAZING"

Range Hoods questions, answered by experts

By positioning ductwork for optimal airflow and reducing potential leaks.

Most residential range hoods have a CFM between 200 and 600. A higher CFM means your range hood is better at removing smoke and odors from your kitchen. The measurement ultimately depends on your stove’s width and heat output as well as the size of your kitchen.

Compared to the average size of a stove and kitchen, 350 CFM would be the minimum recommended rating for the average kitchen. However, selecting a higher CFM range hood would guarantee better ventilation to match your cooking habits, whether they’re minimal or extensive.

Smooth galvanized metal ducting is best and safest for venting a hood range. It’s best to avoid flexible and corrugated types of ducting, as these options don’t provide ample airflow and may not meet local code. For specific advice on which type of duct might be best for your kitchen, reach out to a range hood installation professional.

Yes, professionals can often retrofit models with minimal disruption.

No, range hoods do not necessarily have to be vented outside. Ductless or non-vented range hoods are available, which are common in condos or small kitchens where connecting to external ductwork isn't feasible. These hoods operate by taking in air, filtering it through charcoal filters to help eliminate smoke and odors, and then recirculating the cleaned air back into the kitchen. However, while these recirculating hoods are more versatile, venting to the outside is still the preferred and more effective method for completely removing smoke, odors, and gases from the room.
