"Kleanforce Environmental comes highly recommended. They promptly return calls and arrive at the scheduled time and place as promised. They are extremely efficient, knowledgeable and professional. A bathroom water leak, 7 years ago, in a bathroom exterior wall created the unknown mold issue in the adjacent interior wall. The interior of the exterior wall was opened up by the builder of my home. The insulation was removed, water leak was repaired, wall cavity dried, re-insulated and the wall was repaired. In September 2020, I began a remodel of the same bathroom and discovered mold in the adjacent interior wall. After receiving two quotes, one firm in Albuquerque for $6.2K and one in Las Cruces for $600.00 I knew that something wasn't right. I searched Home Advisor and found Gary. My initial contact and conversation was a fabulous experience. The quote for mold remediation was very fair. The pre & post tests of the air quality and mold spore count on effected surfaces was included in the remediation task. Gary and his team did a fabulous job of cleaning up post the mold remediation. The team understood my concerns, made me feel at ease and I felt like a truly valued client."

"We needed someone to install tile around the bathtub at an apartment unit we own. Joey at 2 Daughters Handyman came to the rescue. He quoted us a fair price based on what we could see. However, once he started the work other complications were discovered such as mold behind the existing wall. Joey and his crew were able to take care of each issue and charged us a fair amount for the extra work performed. We were very impressed with his willingness to get the job done in a timely manner. He even went to two or three places on his own to find the tile we wanted. We will definitely use 2 Daughters again and would recommend them to anyone needing his services.

"THIS IS THE BEST ROOFER I ever had work on my house.  Albuquerque, this is the company you want to call! They
responded to my request on Angie?s list, came by my house, called me with a solution, gave me a verbal estimate and then a good bid.
They showed up ON TIME and they went the extra effort putting on silicon solution covering a larger area that ensures that I won?t have a leak in the future ( I battled a leak every time it rained heavy).
This company follow?s up on every email, phone call and voice mail.   The fixed worked and budget willing, I will have them back out in the spring to re-roof the entire house.
Again,  Albuquerque, this is the company you want to call!

Biohazard Remediation questions, answered by experts

It is generally safe to stay in a house that smells like sewage for a short time, but you should get the problem fixed as soon as possible. While the level of sewer gas is usually low enough to only cause minor symptoms, prolonged inhalation can lead to headaches, nausea, or respiratory irritation. High levels of gas exposure can be more dangerous, and high concentrations of methane—a component of sewer gas—can pose an explosion risk in enclosed spaces. If you smell sewer gas in your home, ventilate the area and call a professional to locate, assess, and fix the problem, as it will not go away on its own.

Popcorn ceilings have fallen out of popularity for several reasons, though opinions on them can vary. The primary drawbacks include an outdated appearance, difficulty with cleaning and maintenance, and potential health risks, as ceilings installed before the 1990s may contain asbestos. As design trends have shifted toward sleeker, more modern finishes, many homeowners now prefer smooth ceilings for their clean look and easier upkeep. However, popcorn ceilings do offer some benefits, such as excellent acoustic properties for noise reduction and the ability to hide imperfections. Some also appreciate their retro charm or find them to be a cost-effective solution. Ultimately, whether they are "bad" depends on personal preference, safety concerns, and aesthetic goals.

Yes, mold can grow on nonporous surfaces. Mold is extremely resilient and can survive just about anywhere. However, mold will not grow as quickly on a nonporous surface as on a porous one. Additionally, the nonporous nature makes it easier to remove. Keep the countertop clean and properly maintained, and you shouldn’t experience mold growth.

Neglecting mold growth on wood can result in various issues that deteriorate its appearance and jeopardize its structural stability. The mold's ability to multiply and expand can disintegrate the fibers of the wood, weakening it further. In addition, the allergenic spores and mycotoxins released by mold can pose health hazards through inhalation or contact. Ignoring the mold's presence allows it to thrive, increasing the likelihood of spreading to other surfaces and requiring extensive and expensive measures to control in the future. Addressing mold on wood promptly is crucial to preserving its condition and safeguarding the health of those around it.

Toxic mold doesn't have a specific color; instead, toxicity depends on the type of mold and the mycotoxins it produces. Stachybotrys chartarum (also known as black mold) is notorious for its potential toxicity. However, not all molds appearing black are Stachybotrys chartarum. Mold species that appear in various colors, such as green, gray, brown, or black, can also produce mycotoxins. Therefore, it's essential to focus on identifying the type of mold through professional testing rather than relying solely on color to determine its toxicity.
