"Cocona Concrete was excellent. I needed to replace the entire driveway, apron and sidewalk-- and wanted to do it quickly before the winter cold arrives. Cocona did an excellent job. Communication was excellent, they were extremely prompt -- on-time for every appointment, and did great work. The ideal thickness depends on the condition of the existing concrete and the depth of any planned designs or imprints. Before applying the overlay, it's important to repair and clean the surface, then apply a primer. For specialized work like a stamped concrete overlay, hiring an experienced contractor is recommended to determine the correct thickness and ensure the new layer isn't too high or heavy. For context, most standard concrete slabs are between 4 and 6 inches thick.

You can dry pour concrete over existing concrete, but it’s best to use wet pour concrete instead. Dry pour concrete is easier to apply, but in order for new concrete to adhere to old concrete, it needs the right mixture for slow, uniform curing.
