"Truthfully, despite our communication issues he was initially very good with illustration of the idea of a wall with pillars for later use. He seemed fearful of my neighbors, more interested in their comfort, and therefore pulled a permit without consulting me about the location of the wall on the premises..... which led to the wall having to be built starting 3 inches within my property line. They were very punctual on showing up for construction, slightly messy (but nothing terrible), but they left the back of the wall (the side I can’t see from my property) totally unfinished with concrete. And, the “concrete” or “mortar” they used is already disintegrating less than a year after installation."

"Professional and prompt. Just be sure to patiently detail the work you need done and ask about the extra cost to pay with a card. For us, there were rocks I asked to be removed, which then exposed a small area on both sides of the retaining wall along the stairs. Now we have a problem of potential erosion onto dirt should it rain. That wasn't included in the work order. The other thing is that some of the resurfacing work on the retaining wall began to show cracks after two days. They quickly responded and repaired. I was told we had to try to keep that area wet for it to curate since this section doesn't get a lot of sunlight. Thank you, Art and crew, for responding quickly."

"I would like to recommend J&C Lawn Service to Angie's List. On 08/31/ 2015 I contacted J&C related to a landscaping problem . Within minutes J&C Lawn Service returned my call. I scheduled an appointment with Mr. Jorge Montes within the hour, and I scheduled a second landscaping company an hour later. I needed an estimate of how much it would cost to pull weeds, clean the front yard, and repair the existing xeriscaping to the front yard. (I'd paid a previous landscaping company a substantial amount of money to do the work ). The work was horribly done.
I received two separate quotes one from each landscaping company on 8/31/2015. The quote from J&C Lawn Service included additional work to repair the original work and was half the amount of the second landscaping company.
I hired Jorge and his crew . He and his crew arrived early the next morning as planned to pull weeds and clean the front yard. This was done in less than 24 hours! The xeriscaping project was started the next day. Jorge was on hand during the complete project. He and his crew were prompt, courteous, and respectful. Mr. Montes made sure I understood all aspects of the repair, the amount of work the repair would entail, and the cost.
