"They went above and beyond. My electrical outlet in the living room (with tv, etc) had stopped working. They came and were able to replace the wiring and got the outlets to work. They also re-installed the outlet in the downstairs bathroom and was able to install a new light fixture in the upstairs bathroom. The last electrician we hired wasnâ t able to do any of these tasks. We had gone without electric in these areas for a while. Thank god for Angi. I was able to hire them through Angi and they did an awesome job. I will be keeping them in mind anytime I have electrical issues in the future!"

"Construction R us did a total rehaul of the electrical on our house and they did a stellar job. I found them to be communicative and honest. It's sometimes hard to find pros who do work and who you can trust to give you an honest assessment but this company definitely fits that bill. They also did a great job working around our schedule. Additionally they patched the dry wall after they were done and they did such a good job texture and colour matching we didn't even need to paint."

"Edwards Appliance Repair did a great job fixing our washing machine and the cost was very reasonable. The repairman was prompt, professional, and knew his stuff. He assessed the problem with our washing machine, explained what was needed to fix it, had the part in the truck, and the repair took less than 15 minutes. We are very pleased with the service Edwards Appliance Repair provided and will call them again anytime we have an appliance that needs repair."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Watch for flickering lights during high winds, frequent breaker trips in colder months, or outlets that feel unusually warm. If your well pump causes lights to dim, it could signal an overloaded electrical panel. Any burning odors or visible sparks from outlets are urgent warnings, especially in Edgewood’s dry climate. Rodent damage and aging aluminum wiring are common local problems that can quickly escalate if left unchecked.

Helpful?

Electrical projects in Edgewood can impact systems like well pumps, septic controls, and heating units, especially if they share circuits or panels. Disruptions may temporarily affect water pressure, sewage flow, or climate control. Security systems, garage doors, and irrigation timers also depend on stable electrical connections. Before starting upgrades, discuss with your contractor how work might affect these interconnected systems to avoid unexpected interruptions.

Helpful?

In Edgewood, outdoor lighting, electrical panels, and exterior outlets often need attention due to intense sun and temperature swings. Homes with private wells should monitor well pump wiring for wear. GFCI outlets in kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoors require regular checks. Consider routine inspections of surge protection devices, as frequent lightning can cause issues. Septic system electrical components also benefit from ongoing maintenance in this rural environment.

Helpful?

For a smooth electrical project in Edgewood, start by confirming all necessary permits are in place and choose a local electrician who understands area codes. Schedule work to avoid peak weather disruptions, such as snow or monsoon storms, which can delay progress. Order materials ahead of time, as local supply runs often require trips to Albuquerque. Always arrange for utility locates before any digging, and review HOA or neighborhood guidelines to prevent unexpected setbacks.

Helpful?

Completing electrical projects in Edgewood brings immediate safety improvements, increased reliability during storms, and better performance from well pumps and outdoor lighting. Over time, you’ll enhance your home’s value, reduce future maintenance, and prepare for new technologies. Upgrading electrical panels and adding surge protection can also improve energy efficiency and resilience against outages, making your home more adaptable as Edgewood continues to grow.
