"We were ready for a struggle. We have a 'special' HVAC system which was struggling. Two years ago we had several HVAC providers provide estimates and they were all so high that we just decided to wait until our system died. The system didn't die but someone in this household decided to power wash the unit, crushing about 75% of the fins. So then we had a struggling system that was very damaged and straightening 75% of the fins did not seem doable. We called Reliable and Terrence and Erik came out to examine our system and provide an estimate. Although we were prepared to hear the entire system had to be replaced, Terrence thought that was not necessary and he carefully explained his recommendation. Within two days we had a written estimate that was thousands of dollars less than any other estimate we had received two years previously when the system was not struggling as much. The estimate included Reliable replaced our unit with a new, smaller, more energy efficient unit. We could not be more pleased. They even registered the unit with Lennox, as they had all the information. Now we probably have a system that will operate for at least another 10 years. We will call Reliable Tech from now on for any HVAC or plumbing problem. They proved that sometimes the WHOLE system does not have to be replaced. Somehow, Reliable Tech was the only provider who understood that 'just enough' is often all that is required. "

Since I can do most of my services remotely with you over the phone, I am hoping to eventually open up to larger markets and help people from having to take their computer in to get it fixed, if it has internet access, I can usually fix it over the Internet. I am my only employee, but I have over 20 years experience fixing computers, and providing superior customer service. I work on a flat rate service, and don't charge by the hour because I feel it's important to educate the customer on what the issue is/was, and how to avoid it in the future. I feel that local service companies (my competition) have been overcharging customers for years. I offer a first time customer discount of 10% but I will offer 15% off for first time customers referred by Angies List. I've lived in the Huntsville area most all my life, so I know the area very well. I will never use a subcontractor as I am very picky about making sure that if my name and company is associated with something, it will be the best experience my customer has ever had, and using sub contractors won't ensure that, so I prefer to do all the work myself. Lastly, I should point out that I am a former offensive lineman for the University of Southern Mississippi and was Brett Favre's center his freshman year at Southern. I went on to play for Tom Landry in his last year, but gave up pro football early on to pursue my passion of fixing computers. If I didn't have bills to pay, I would do this for free because I love it! If you have a computer problem, I promise you that you couldn't find a better technician that will care about you as a customer, and not about the bottom line. "AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
