"For me, who likes to see if I can fix it first, it was the ability to access the knowledge and experience needed to make a washing machine repair. I made an appointment, a Neli representative sent a link to my phone, once opened the representative could visualize the problem I had described. It was explained how I should remove the part and replace it. Subsequently, I received an email with the part number needed and the estimated cost. This took approximately 15 minutes altogether and cost $35."

"The technician was thorough, tried several fixes only after explaining each one, and eventually found and fixed the problem. He was pleasant, knowledgeable and educational."

"The service technician was courteous, professional and friendly. He explained each step and the rationale for parts replacement. He documented the process by taking photos. He was patient and courteous and very knowledgeable. He was very quick without being hurried. It was a pleasure to have a professional service call and I would not hesitate to use Reliable Tech again for repairs and replacement of air conditioning units and water heater - when service available - in the future.

"Jim responded promptly to my order placed on Angie's List for the Remote Computer Tune Up & Repair Deal.  He cleaned up the computer remotely, which was running very slowly, and required frequent re-boots.  Computer is running much faster now.  Great service.  Would highly recommend.

"Bill did an excellent job of filling, sanding, and painting the columns, vigas, and latillas. For the wood under the portal where we wanted to maintain stain, he did a beautiful job of matching the wood and making the filled areas look natural. He also painted our ductwork and other metal components to color match the stucco, repairing the stucco in a few places along the way. Bill is extremely reliable, meticulous in his cleanup, and fairly priced. Our next door neighbors saw Bill's work and hired him for their project."

"We were very pleased, and he did a great job. He is wonderful. We are going to call him again, if he can do a job for us. He is very personable and very outgoing. We only have one thing to comment, and we made it to him. He was very lousy, and he almost blew us out of the room. He is really very competent, nice, and young man. We have a solar unit, and we had a problem with it, since we put it in. It wasn't designed the right way. We asked him to look at it, and he has come with a potential solution. He is out of town right now. Once he is back, he is going to talk to the solar company to see what their assessment is of his fix. He is very innovative, and we both really like it."

Humidifier Repair questions, answered by experts

NATE (North American Technician Excellence) certification is not legally required for HVAC technicians in most areas, but hiring a professional with this certification is highly recommended. NATE-certified technicians demonstrated their expertise and proficiency in different types of HVAC systems, offering assurance of quality service. It's a voluntary certification, yet it indicates a commitment to professionalism and ongoing training. Choosing a NATE-certified technician often means you're working with someone who is up-to-date on industry standards and best practices, which can lead to better service, energy efficiency, and long-term cost savings.

The average whole-house humidifier might last 10-15 years. Regular maintenance can help the unit last longer. Keep in mind that houses in dry climates use humidifiers more frequently, which may exacerbate wear and tear. A professional can help you determine if it’s time for a replacement.

There are some physical signs you need to have a humidifier that manifest as signs in your home and body. For the home, Watch for cracked and peeling paint, dry wooden flooring and furniture, excessively loud creaking wooden floors or doors, and an increase in the electricity needed to cool or heat the home. Physical symptoms include frequent dry air passages, Scratchy throat, increased allergy symptoms, and dry eyes.

Whether you’re facing significant humidifier repair costs or it’s time to replace your humidifier altogether, it’s understandable to question whether the expense is worth it. Still, there are many benefits of whole-house humidifiers that you might miss, including improved indoor comfort, improved breathing and sleep, better hair and skin, and even increased home value. Either way, the answer is subjective, so it’s helpful to evaluate your home’s humidity without the unit running and give it a few weeks to see if you notice a difference.

Ideal humidity conditions generally range from 30% to 50%, with 45% considered optimal humidity for most homes. If your humidity levels drop below that range, you can turn your dehumidifier off. Additionally, suppose the temperature where the dehumidifier is installed falls below 60 degrees Fahrenheit. In that case, it's best to turn it off and unplug it since cooler temperatures can cause the unit's coils to freeze.
