"Utilizing All Service Moving for the move was a very positive experience. They had good communication, answering several questions prior to the move and did a final confirmation just prior to the move date. As for the physical move itself, Jose, Abraham, and Alberto were polite, diligent, and careful moving the many items, and managed to complete the move more quickly than anticipated."

"I have to give mixed ratings. The price is really high. The old location and new location only 20 minutes drive apart. I was charged for $100 travel fee, $350 for the truck. $100 for wrapping the dressers and desks (4 pieces in total were wrapped with plastics). $100 for dissembling and resembling. $100 per hour for 3 guys. For over time I was charged $125 per hour. The moving guys were on time, friendly, and working with a slow pace. They did treat furniture with care, dissembled almost every piece of furniture into small pieces (that's where it took a lot of time). When the furniture delivered by stores most of them came in as a whole piece, I even didn't know they can be dissembled like that. Overall no one was hurt and no furniture was damaged and we were moved. I paid about $1800 for the move. It's quite over my budget. Next time I will find a different moving company to see if the price will be as high as this one."

Moving FAQs, answered by experts

In Weehawken, moving projects often prioritize homes with panoramic Hudson River views and proximity to waterfront parks. Homeowners look for properties near NY Waterway ferry terminals for easy Manhattan commutes. Popular trends include maximizing compact layouts with built-in storage, preserving original architectural details like exposed brick, and updating older buildings with modern amenities such as smart home systems and private outdoor terraces for entertaining.

Helpful?

In Weehawken, cosmetic moves often involve upgrading to homes with better river views or restored historic features, allowing for flexible timing and more focus on packing services. Functional moves are typically urgent, driven by space constraints, accessibility needs, or proximity to transit. These require immediate planning, coordination with building management, and sometimes navigating tight schedules due to school calendars or building maintenance issues.

Helpful?

The average time for moving projects in Weehawken depends on distance, building requirements, and season. Local moves within Hudson County generally take 4-8 hours, while moves involving NYC can extend to 6-10 hours due to traffic and parking challenges. Booking moving companies 4-6 weeks in advance is recommended, especially in summer, and reserving building elevators or loading zones at least 1-2 weeks ahead is essential for a smooth process.

Helpful?

To maintain a successful moving routine in Weehawken, review stored items each spring for moisture from river humidity and winter damage. In summer, check air conditioning units and coordinate elevator reservations early. Fall is ideal for inspecting heating systems and weatherproofing windows in your new space. During winter, monitor for freeze damage, ensure clear access for moving trucks, and plan ahead for spring moves to avoid peak demand.

Helpful?

Success in Weehawken moving projects relies on understanding local parking permit requirements, scheduling around narrow streets, and anticipating waterfront weather conditions. Building-specific moving policies and elevator reservations are crucial. Choosing experienced local moving companies, planning with school schedules, and integrating into the community help ensure both immediate satisfaction and long-term comfort in your new home.
