"Working with this roofing company was a pleasure! Bryan explained all our issues and gave us 3 different roofing options with no pressure at all!! He was so kind! A few days later I was having my new roof put on my house. Ricky the project manager was there to answer any of my questions/concerns. He was the best! The crew worked continuously until the job was completed. When it was time to clean up the property for any left over debris the men were meticulous… especially looking for nails because they knew my small grandchildren visited often and didn’t want them to get hurt! Above and beyond!! My husband and I are so pleased with the entire experience and everyone who helped putting on our roof!! We love it! Would definitely recommend this company for roofing! Ty Bryan and Ricky!!"

Roofing questions, answered by experts

Yes, copper roof strips can help prevent shingle damage and are an alternative to algae-resistant shingles. They work in a similar way: they release copper ions that interfere with algae, moss, and other plant growth. Algae feeds on limestone in your roof shingles, and moss can uplift shingles and increase the risk of leaks. If you have issues with algae or moss on your roof, copper roof strips can help avoid damage.

The size of the dumpster will determine how many squares of shingles can fit in a dumpster. You can place between 4 to 20 squares of shingles in most standard containers.

The average cost of a metal roof for a 2,000-square-foot home is $11,700, but your price can range from $12,000 to $90,000, depending on the number of stories you have, your roof design, and the specific metal you choose. Reach out to a metal roofing company to get an accurate estimate customized for your home.

The common formula for measuring a roof is length x width equals square footage. Professional roofers measure the length and width of your roof, including dormers, and determine its pitch and rafter sizes. If a roof surface is a triangle, they’ll divide that square footage by two, then add up the square footage of each surface to get the total for the roof.

A solar roof can replace an existing roof. Solar panels fit on top of traditional roofs. In contrast, solar roofs that contain photovoltaic (PV) materials, like solar shingles and solar tiles, are standalone roofing systems installed as a main roof. In some cases, installers can place them on existing roofs and as part of new construction. Carefully assess and choose the right type of solar roof replacement for your home and needs.
