Small jobs welcome

Hi, my name is Andrey, and I own Instant Home Improvements. I've had my company for two years, but I have seven years of experience in construction. I've worked mostly in northeastern New Jersey. I'm based in Sussex County, but I can travel to the surrounding counties. I have experience remodeling bathrooms, kitchens, and flooring, but my distinguishing skill is my knowledge of drywall installation and spackle application. I do most of the work inside homes. I always strive to ensure the client is happy with the finished project. I enjoy seeing the before and after of a home renovation and knowing that I did everything possible to make it turn out well.\n

"I had an unfinished basement. Martin and his crew finished the entire basement, installed a 3/4 bathroom, built custom stone wall and custom bar. Entire project came out amazing. The crew was very professional and I am very happy with the end result. Where other contractors cut corners, Martin and his crew didnâ  t! I will definitely use him again"

"We were very satisfied with the results of the replacement of a portion of our luxury vinyl flooring. They were wonderful at communicating and responding. They took their time to be sure the job was done correctly and paid attention to details and cleaned up well upon completion of the job. We were very happy with the results and would definitely hire them again!"

Number of employees vary depending on size of job. I sub-contract electrical, HVAC, siding and plumbing work. An estimate is given initially, once job is accepted an invoice/contract will be drawn and payments are made 1/2 of total up front, 1/4 in middle of job and 1/4 at completion of job. Payments can be made in form of cash, check or major credit cards.\n\nAlso Known As: Aziz Property Management

I once paid a guy $350.00 to install 1 fan and he took twice as long as the nail it guy took to install 2 fans, outside on a patio deck. Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, a hot or overheating outlet is a fire hazard and can cause a fire. An outlet becoming hot indicates an electrical problem, such as an overloaded circuit, loose connections, or a faulty component. The heat from these issues can ignite nearby flammable materials like curtains or furniture. If you notice an outlet is hot to the touch, turn off the power at the circuit breaker, unplug any connected devices, and consult a qualified electrician. If a fire does start, use a Class C fire extinguisher or baking soda to suppress it, or evacuate immediately and call the fire department.

A hot fire alone will not remove significant creosote buildup and can be dangerous, as it risks causing a chimney fire. While the warmth from a fire can help loosen stuck tar, making treatments like creosote logs more effective, it is not a substitute for proper cleaning. For existing creosote, the safest and most effective method is to have your chimney professionally cleaned by a chimney sweep.

You can safely build a fire pit on your patio as long as you use porous, fire-resistant pavers or a fire pit mat over existing pavers. Otherwise, you’ll need to have exposed ground beneath your pit. You’ll also need to make sure the location for the fire pit is far enough away from your house and any other nearby structures.

Yes, it is generally safe to have a fire pit on a deck, but you must adhere to building codes and take several safety precautions. For both built-in and freestanding models, you must use a heat-resistant barrier, such as a fire pit pad or heat shield, between the pit and the deck. Additionally, consider the weight of the fire pit and ensure your deck can structurally support it, reinforcing it if necessary. The fire pit must also be positioned a safe distance from your house, particularly from materials like vinyl siding, to prevent heat damage.

Yes, you need to leave your chimney damper open when burning a creosote log so that smoke and other debris doesn’t waft into your house as it’s burning. You’ll need to make sure your damper is fully open, even when the log continues to smoke, until it’s completely out and cold.
