"They did an excellent job. The movers, Adoni, Richard, and Peter (?), were punctual, friendly, strong, and professional. I couldn't be happier. Due to the complex nature of the move, there was a confusion about two tables, and the problem had to be fixed two days later. Stefan was extremely helpful and courteous in getting the problem resolved.. This is a top-notch group and I would gladly use them again. "
"I have been moving a lot due to my work. Never have I felt that moving is easy until now. The guys at Rob The Mover simply amazing. The move was like a breeze. In and out just like that. They came, they packed, the delivered. No dents, no flaws, no hidden fees. I will definitely use The Moving DR for my future long distance moves."
"The movers that came we’re extremely nice and efficient. We moved large furniture along with lots of fragile items and nothing was damaged. I would definitely use them again!"
"Used capital city for a recent move within NJ. Very professional from start to finish. Started with Brandon who provided a very competitive quote ( I had quotes from 3 other companies). He took his time to create a thorough inventory list. On the moving date, Sash and his crew were extremely professional and polite all through the 10 hours of loading, moving and unloading. They took great care of the items and did all the hard work with a smile on their faces. Would highly recommend them!! Thanks and good job."
"The movers came on time, were friendly, cooperative, amazingly efficient, and carried my piano up 29 steps and around a narrow bannister without a problem. They were able to work within the allotted time so that I didn't have to pay anything extra, and before the move, all of my questions were promptly and thoroughly answered. Great Movers really deserves its name!"
"It's not a good experience because I am missing my Apple Watch. I bought an Apple Watch and I can't find it and they don't know. This is not good. I also had a tv stand and the bottom broke and it caused imbalance of the tv. I don't want to accuse, but I still can't find my watch. I didn't notice my watch missing and the tv stand broke until a month later. It would be hard for me to accuse, so I just left it alone. I thought that the whole move could be done in 5 hours and it took them 6. Now, I was moving from apartment to apartment, ground floor to ground floor. I thought it would be quicker. I remember we took a break and I got them food to eat. That wasted maybe a half hour time. It took another additional hour. I ended up paying another $100 and on top of that he was asking me if I can give everyone a tip. What I did was give everyone a tip and additional $100 for the extra hour and I gave them food to eat. I paid for their lunch and gave them a tip. They did hard work. I even helped them move some furniture myself. It wasn't like I was watching them. I was helping. I think because of the speed they were doing it, it shouldn't be 6 hours. They tell people to pay for their lunch and then to tip them. It was a $400 watch and I think about it everyday. Maybe it's not their fault but I know that I was missing it after we moved. It was my fault that I put it in a place that they were doing work. I don't want to accuse. I don't know what really happened."
"Excellent. Timely efficient, careful pleasamt, No incidental damage to furniture or walls. Paid by the hour but moved swiftly. Very professional in wrapping furniture to prevent any damage."
"After getting ridiculous quotes from the “major carriers” for a local move, a friend recommended White Glove Moving and Storage. I gave them a call and was very pleasantly surprised at their fair prices. On moving day, four men got to work right away. They were very professional, pleasant, courteous and efficient. They took great care wrapping and loading our expensive furniture. When we arrived at our new home, not one scratch or dent on any of our possessions. They moved and placed each piece of furniture in different locations until we were completely satisfied. I have moved many times in my life and I can honestly say that I have never had such a stress free move, ever! Look no further, this is the firm you want for your move. I highly recommend White Glove Moving and Storage."
"On the day of the move there were 5 gentlemen to make the move : Kevin, Julio, Marvin, Carlos and Steve.......They all were the consummate professionals.......They were organized, prepared, very considerate and even my 14 year old dog, Suki, didn't bother them, even though she did get in their way,.,....They had everything out in 3 hours and all boxes, items, pieces of furniture were labeled. A complete list of all the items moved was given to me.........They were awesome........They were going to bring my belongings to their storage unit and hold them there until I am ready to move into my permanent residence. It’s rare to rent moving straps alone. Typically, you buy them outright. However, if you rent moving equipment, like loading tools or a furniture dolly, from a local or big-box business, they may come with moving straps for you to use.

Moving companies offer a variety of service packages to suit different needs and budgets during the moving process. They typically provide loading, unloading, and transportation services, using specialized equipment to handle heavy and bulky items. Services can also include packing assistance, where professional packers securely pack belongings to ensure their safety during transportation. Some moving companies also offer temporary storage options, as well as unpacking services upon arrival.
Yes, in almost all cases, it is worth the investment to hire professional piano movers. Pianos are not only heavy and bulky but are also often expensive and delicate instruments. Attempting to move one yourself poses a significant risk of damage to the piano, your home, and can lead to serious personal injury, especially when navigating stairs. The average cost of hiring professional movers (around $400) is typically much less than the potential cost of repairs, replacement, or medical bills that could result from an unsuccessful DIY move.
When loading a moving truck, the general rule is to load the heaviest and largest items first to create a stable base at the front of the truck, which helps balance the weight. You can start with large furniture like sofas, beds, mattresses, and tables to form a solid foundation, or begin by placing your heaviest boxes against the truck's walls to create a base layer. After the base is set, continue loading other large items like appliances and square furniture. Lighter and smaller objects, including most of your boxes, should be loaded last. They can be packed into gaps, around, and on top of the heavier items to maximize space. Following this order makes unloading easier and helps prevent damage to your belongings.
