"We hired this company for a septic system inspection. Chris and his partner were extremely professional and courteous! They arrived to the appointment on time and went right to work! After they were done inspecting everything and before putting everything back together Chris went over the entire system step by step with great detail of how the system works and advised us of every single thing that was wrong. Chris was very thorough and very easy to understand! The report was also excellent and very easy to read. We had to reach out to Chris way after the inspection for some advise and Chris was more than happy to help and gave his true and honest opinion! We really appreciate that. Itâ s not easy to find a hard working professional who will also go above and beyond their advertised services. thank you! Olga and Wojtek"

"Actually this is 5 stars for NOT doing the job! He came and after examining the way the water was coming out from the bottom of the toilet, he deduced it wasn't just the wax seal, but probably a clog. He doesn't do clogs, but he referred me to someone who did, and they came out, found and snaked out roots that were in there, then replaced the wax seal and all's well. But the point is some plumbers (and I've dealt with them) would have just replaced the seal, but it would have just blown back out, and I would have ended up paying for double jobs. But he didn't do that - he turned down some easy money to make sure I had the problem fixed correctly. Such professionalism and honesty isn't found everywhere! So while he didn't actually do the job, he gets 5 stars for being, as i said, honest and professional, and getting me to the right people."

Sewer Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Water leaking through your basement floor is a good sign of a clogged drain, but another sign of a clogged basement floor drain can include unpleasant odors coming from the drain. Also, hearing gurgling noises when water drains from the basement or having other plumbing fixtures (like toilets or other drains) backing up is a good indicator.

Using less toilet paper is the easiest way to prevent future clogs. Also, avoid flushing sanitary products, thick paper towels, or hair down the toilet. If you’ve been using a brick in the tank to reduce the water used to flush the toilet, take it out immediately. Bricks will eventually fall apart and clog your toilet drain. Keeping your toilet lid closed also helps avoid future clogs.

Your sewer line can get grimy quickly. To prevent sludge buildup in your sewer line, pour a mixture of 1/3 cup of vinegar and 1/3 cup of baking soda down each drain in your home once a month. After about 30 minutes, flush the drain with hot water.

Some plumbers recommend 3/4 cup of bleach instead to clean any germs and bacteria that may build up in your sewer line. But this won’t break down any active clogs, and it cannot be combined with vinegar, as the mixture will create a toxic, hazardous gas.

Grease buildup, tree roots, and foreign objects often cause blockages. Regular maintenance prevents major issues.

Ejector pumps can only push sewage 750 feet or less. That’s because their purpose is to move waste from your home to your sewer line—which is a relatively short distance. Grinder pumps can transport sewage further, but they manage lower volumes of waste than ejector pumps (and they don’t work with septic systems).
