When purchasing a new home, it is critical to choose the right inspector. Chances are, you will not get the opportunity to meet me prior to hiring me. The biggest differences between home inspectors include: Their qualifications and experience, reporting methods, the equipment they use and the amount of effort they are willing to put in. When 3-D Property Inspection, LLC, is lucky enough to be hired by a potential home buyer, we dedicate ourselves to giving you a timely, fair and unbiased inspection. Call us today to learn more!

"I would highly recommend Nick at 3D Property Inspections to take care of any property inspections you may need. I'm in the process of buying a single family home in Long Valley, NJ & working on a tight schedule to get to closing on this house. Nick at 3D responded same-day to my request for a comprehensive inspection & got me on his schedule for a few days later. I bought my current NJ home 40+ years ago & that was a new build. The very lovely home I fell in love with in Long Valley is an older home & while it appears to be well maintained, I still wanted a thorough inspection. Enter Nick of 3D & his radon, mold & sewer guy, David. The inspection started right on time with explanations being offered throughout. Both Nick & David welcomed my questions & made sure any concerns I had were addressed before wrapping up the inspection. The reports I received were comprehensive & included pictures to illustrate various points noted during the inspection. Naturally, the reports sparked more questions which Nick & David responded to promptly & told me if I thought of more questions to let him know. Even though the inspections & the reports were done, Nick & David never tried to push me away when new questions came up. I'd also like to mention that Nick's wife & business partner Jill, is so very helpful, quick to obtain other pieces of information I needed while managing to soothe my frazzled, home buyer nerves. I would not hesitate to invite Nick & David to take care of any inspections I might need in the future. Thank you, Nick, David & Jill!"

"If I could put more than 5 stars I would! Since day 1 Gary and I had really good communication of the expectation of the inspection, and the report was detailed with recommendations and links to take care of the issues. He responded to my question right away no matter what method of contact I used (text, email, call) . Gary was knowledgeable and professional. I learned a lot about the property. The app he uses to share the report is user friendly and report was easy to understand. In addition my realtor was a little late to the inspection appointment and I truly appreciate his patience during that time. Thanks Gary!"

It's fascinating how a background in interior design can complement a career in construction project management. Here's a brief overview of how those two fields can intertwine: Blending Design and Execution: Your foundation in interior design provides a keen eye for aesthetics, spatial planning, and material selection. This allows you to understand the design intent of a project on a deeper level. Coupled with your experience as a construction project manager, you possess the practical knowledge to translate those design concepts into reality. You understand the complexities of construction processes, budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating with various trades. This unique combination enables you to bridge the gap between design and construction, ensuring that projects are not only visually appealing but also structurally sound and executed efficiently. Essentially, having that design background, gives you an enhanced ability to understand the finer details of projects, and allows for a more fluid working relationship between the design team, and the construction teams.

"Great ! Would definitely use the service again ."

Home Inspection questions, answered by experts

Homeowners can conduct basic visual inspections and cleaning, but professionals provide thorough checks that identify hidden issues safely.

A post-drywall inspection could uncover many problems that weren’t present during the pre-drywall inspection, including insufficient insulation, missing weather stripping, improperly installed plumbing and lighting fixtures, flooring damage, drywall damage, plumbing leaks, aesthetic issues, and more. Structural problems, which are often expensive to fix and are common reasons to walk away after a home inspection, are easier to see before the drywall goes up, but a post-drywall inspection may highlight minor issues with house settling and foundation problems.

A convenient method to verify your warranty status is by visiting the manufacturer's website and entering your unit's serial number. The relevant information should promptly appear. However, if it doesn't, there's a possibility that you may have unintentionally voided the warranty by neglecting to register your equipment at the time of installation. If you did register and need help finding the information, you may need to call the manufacturer's customer support team.

Insurance companies weigh the amount of potential liabilities on your property to increase (or decrease) the cost of your home insurance. They will use several factors to decide if there are more chances for peril or injury to take place at your home. These factors include your location (whether you live in an area with high risk for natural disasters), the age and condition of your home, and whether you have any “attractive nuisances”—features that both increase the aesthetic of your home and potential for injury—like a pool or treehouse.

You can test your ductwork by hiring a technician to attach a vacuum to the ductwork near the HVAC unit and put the vent system under pressure. Your pro can use a duct leak tester to measure the amount of pressure that's escaping.

You can also do a DIY test using an incense stick or smoke pencil. With the HVAC system running, pass the stick or pencil across the ductwork. Pay attention to the movement of the smoke. When you notice it changing, it could be a sign there’s a leak or bad connection in the duct.
