"Arid did an amazing job! The sales rep, Mike who came out to give us an estimate was very knowledgeable and explained how the whole process worked. He was very patient answering my three pages of questions! The work they did and the equipment they installed was exactly as promised. I stressed out for so many years about getting French drains because I heard it was so messy and you get dust throughout the whole house. I followed their printed recommendations and there was virtually no dust in the floors above the basement. The Foreman, also named Mike, brought a crew of seven men and ran the job like clockwork. The job was completed in just 5 1/2 hours. They cleaned up every piece of debris and even washed down my driveway! Mike explained how the system works and left me all the manuals. I went with their backup pump and battery system, which they designed, for extra peace of mind. I would recommend Arid to anyone thinking about getting French drains. Thank you Arid!"

"As I did the first time I used Bob Lindsay's company, I waited six months to write my review. After withstanding nearly 13" of water from Henri and Ida, I cannot recommend this company enough. We used Bob at my first house and decided to use him again when our final walkthrough of our house revealed a wet carpet in the finished basement. Bob's guys replaced the shallow existing window wells with much deeper, galvanized ones, backfilled them with stone and piped them into a perimeter channel drain that was then flashed and cemented to the basement floor height. The sump pump pit was installed and a battery backup system was provided and wired in. The outside grading around the window wells was also redone to slope any surface water away from the foundation. Due to our Radon mitigation system, a polyurethane caulk was also used to seal the system. We remained absolutely bone-dry these last few weeks despite rain falling at 2-3" per hour in some cases. The work is efficient, his guys are extremely friendly and skilled, and despite the messiness of the job, they do a fabulous job cleaning up. There is a certain peace of mind that having this type of work done provides, and you cannot put a price tag on it, especially if you plan on finishing (or refinishing) a basement. At the end of the job, Bob was even kind enough to have one of his guys tie in a 2" piece of PVC from the floor with a cap (which I then drilled a hole in) so I can run my dehumidifier constantly without ever having to empty the bucket. We have since refinished our basement to our liking and know for certain that this was the best home investment we could have possibly made. A friend of ours has also done her entire basement with Weather-Tite and had an equally wonderful experience. Thanks Bob for saving us not once, but twice."

"These guys could not be more terrific! They were able to diagnose a problem that no other waterproofing could. American A-1 was here 5 minutes and they knew exactly what our problem was. We didn’t know it but we have iron oxide in our ground which needs to be maintained yearly. Also our french drain hadn’t been dug out deep enough to begin with so our finished basement got completely ruined. It was a very low point in our life but these guys came in, did the DIRTY job with HEAVY lifting and never complained once. They were efficient, knowledgeable and cleaned up to perfection when they were done. They even paid for a cleaning service to come in as dust had gotten just about everywhere. At another point in time our window wells were filling up with water and we didn’t know why. "Performance – It took the plumber, and his helper, about one hour to disconnect and remove the old unit. Then, it took this crew a little over 1.5 hours to install and connect the new unit. The work was done in three separate segments spanning about five hours. The physical quality of work was almost passable, and so was the manner by which the work was done. Communication - The plumber did not mention the cost of the job during the appointment phone-call, nor at the beginning of the job. When the job was almost finished, the plumber announced that the cost of the job will be $2100. The plumber provided minimal information about the operation of the heater, about the process for re-igniting the unit, and about interpreting the blinking signals of the control module. Warranties on labor and equipment were not mentioned. Pricing - The price of $2100 is twice the going rate that is charged by plumbers in this area for replacing a water heater. Additionally, the plumber did not mention the option of paying for the job through a credit card, nor did he mention the 5% discount that is currently offered by this business entity to members of Angie’s List."
