"I had a clogged basement bathroom drain that another company was unable to fully resolve. I called 123 Sewer & Drain, and Mohamed came out on a Sunday morning. He accessed the line from the basement toilet flange and found multiple clogs that had not been fully cleared. What stood out was his thoroughness. He kept working until the line was fully cleared, then tested everything multiple times. He left the cleanout open and had me run all upstairs faucets and flush toilets to confirm that water was flowing properly to the sewer before wrapping up. Everything was done the right way — no shortcuts and no upselling, just a straightforward and professional approach. It’s refreshing to work with someone who takes the time to do the job right and makes sure everything is fully working before leaving. The issue has been completely resolved. I would absolutely use them again and highly recommend their services."

"This company was great. They were kind, thorough and efficient. They willingly answered all my questions and even took the time to check for any other problems I may have had or might arise in the future. It was comforting to have the feeling they cared about their clients. I highly recommend Just In Case and will use them again for any future plumbing needs!"

"We had Mr. Rooter Plumbing come out to see if they could clear out a clog we were having and fix a leak resulting from the blockage. They charged us $500 for a very bad job performed and even estimated another $2,000 for them to come back. That's when we said enough is enough and came across Daniel through a referral. Daniel was by far the most respectful, honest, and helpful plumbing professional we have come across. He came right over with no hesitations during late evening hours, and got to work fast! He did a fantastic job in clearing out the blockage we were having at a super reasonable price. He gave us very helpful tips on how to manage this issue moving forward and we are just so happy to have met Daniel as we will be using him for all of our plumbing needs from now on. Highly recommended, 10/10!"

"James and his partner were prompt on arrival time. The problem was fixed within a half hour. There was a possibility that there was more to the problem which would involve breaking the wall in two bathrooms that shared a common drainage pipe. They tested to make sure there was a problem behind the wall before proceeding. Happily there was no problem. They could have easily told me the wall breaking was necessary. All in all, I was pleased with the work done and I would highly recommend them. if you need a plumber"

Percolation Tests questions, answered by experts

Since the EPA partially banned asbestos in 1989, it is no longer used to manufacture new siding in the United States; production had largely ceased by the early 1980s. Many other countries, such as Canada, Iceland, and Denmark, also have bans on asbestos. However, asbestos siding is still present in many homes built before the late 1980s. The only definitive way to know if your siding contains asbestos is to have it professionally lab-tested.

Since DIY asbestos removal isn’t the best option to save money, there are other steps that you can take to help cut costs when dealing with this project. After speaking with your asbestos removal expert, discuss if encapsulation is an option. If it is, you can save between 15% to 25% on overall project costs over demolition and disposal. In addition, when speaking with your professional, discuss if there are any tax credits available for your removal project. Finally, check with your homeowner’s insurance to see if any removal costs might be covered. However, be aware that this is usually only applicable if the asbestos is due to a covered incident, like a tree falling into your roof.

Asbestos is commonly found in certain older homes, depending on the time period in which they were built. Asbestos use in home construction began in the 1920s and peaked after World War II before being limited by legislation in the ’70s, so a house constructed in 1880 is unlikely to contain asbestos, while one built in 1950 is much more likely to. Research a home’s history to determine the time period when it was built and any renovations made since.

If you know your popcorn ceiling has asbestos, you should not attempt to clean it. It simply is not possible to learn how to clean asbestos safely without potentially releasing microscopic fibers into the air that could lead to severe illness in the future. Avoid disturbing or cleaning the ceiling until the asbestos removal company can get rid of the popcorn ceiling.

No, but it’s common that they do. Gravity furnaces weren’t terribly efficient so wrapping either the ductwork in asbestos, the furnace itself, or both, was something done regularly. This allowed the system to retain more heat. At the time, this greatly enhanced the efficiency of the furnaces but it wasn’t until later that we became aware of just how carcinogenic and dangerous asbestos could be.
