"Marty G. was on time. He removed old humidifier - no longer able to get parts. He sealed up all holes in unit and installed new humidifier. He made it look like it was always there since the new unit was bigger and he had to relocate it. Both he and his helper Joe worked well together and cleaned up work area and then showed us how to work unit."

"We found CLIMATE MECHANICS from their stellar reviews while searching for a knowledgeable and competent HVAC company. For years, we were dealing with a condensation problem with our LG mini split air conditioner, and no one could find the source of the problem. We can honestly say that we've never experienced a company like CLIMATE MECHANICS so committed to making things right. Nate, the awesome climate mechanic that came to our home, and Robert, the owner of the company, could understandably have walked away because they did not install the system and were not responsible for the problem. Nate worked for hours trying to locate the problem. In the end, after so many years of leaking, CLIMATE MECHANICS went above and beyond and resolved our ongoing problem. Toni, their wonderful contact person, told us repeatedly that Robert just wanted us to be happy in the end. And we are. Totally. Thank you Robert, Nate and Toni."

"The Botte crew were incredible! There arenâ t enough superlatives to describe the awesome job they did for us replacing our ductless system. It was a big job! We had 4 quotes and theirs was the lowest, but we didnâ t just choose them because of that. They were responsive and professional. One quote was $8,000 higher and they were going to take over a week to install. Botte did it in 2 1/2 days. They were polite, friendly, and professional. Cleaned up before they left each time and the results speak for themselves. I couldnâ t recommend them more highly! Tom D."

Customers say: Quick response

"Woke up with no heat! Right before Christmas! Harris responded instantly and sent out someone to check the problem. Due to incorrect installation, rain had gotten into the improperly sealed roof vents, which in turned fried the transformer, inducer and circuit board. They were at my place bright and early the next morning installing a brand new furnace, more efficient and quieter, with a 10 year warranty. Arranged financing and were finished by 3pm. Everyone from my first phone call to the last service tech was professional, polite, knowledgeable and all around pleasant and really nice people. They will be my go to for heating, AC, plumbing and electrical from here on in. Glad I found them!"

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

It takes about five to 10 minutes for heat to reach a radiator, then about one hour until the radiator fully heats up a room. The exact duration depends on the size of the room and how far away the radiator is from the boiler heating system. Heating up an entire house could take up to two hours.

In most cases, repairing a radiator is more affordable than replacing it. A typical repair may cost between $100 and $200, while a replacement can average $1,500, with a range of $250 to $2,500 depending on the unit type. Radiator issues are often simple fixes for a professional, such as a blown fuse, malfunctioning thermostat, or a loose valve, and can take less than an hour. However, if the long-term costs of fixing the radiator are higher than replacement, it's better to get a new model. It is recommended to consult a heating expert to diagnose the problem and determine the best solution for your situation.

There are several types of home radiators, and the most common are steam heat radiators, electric radiators, and dual-fuel radiators. Steam heat radiators are connected to a boiler. Electric radiators can operate without being connected to anything else—they just need an electrical outlet. If you have a dual-fuel radiator, you’ll see a valve at the bottom of the system with a wire coming out of it and going into a wall. These are often your towel radiators in the bathroom. The type of radiator you have will impact how you turn it on.

Common problems include leaks, low pressure, and inefficient heating. Regular maintenance prevents many issues.

Professionals can recommend efficient layouts or appliances and ensuring regulatory compliance.
