"We hired Century Masonry & Waterproofing several years ago after suffering through several flooded basements. At a time when some contractors are out there trying to sell unnecessary services and products, Sean is an honest, consultative, helpful professional. He was able to identify problems with our existing sump pit and corrected them. He also identified the fact that the sump pit was not in the lowest point of our foundation and installed a second sump pit and pump there. "The previous owner of our property used his French drain installation as a selling point, but shortly after we moved in we found water in the basement after a storm. It turned out that the "French drains" were a trench at the edges of the basement and a sump pump. The drains were not piped to the sump pump. "These guys could not be more terrific! They were able to diagnose a problem that no other waterproofing could. American A-1 was here 5 minutes and they knew exactly what our problem was. We didn’t know it but we have iron oxide in our ground which needs to be maintained yearly. Also our french drain hadn’t been dug out deep enough to begin with so our finished basement got completely ruined. It was a very low point in our life but these guys came in, did the DIRTY job with HEAVY lifting and never complained once.
