"Paul and his crew are simply the best! The work they have done for us was not so simple yet they were patient enough and did the work with extra care and not to mention was done professionally from start to finish. The work entailed running a new gas line to convert range/laundry dryer and pool from electric to gas. Paul was on top of his communication with me either via email using Angie's list site or mobile. I have already recommended this company to my close friends but felt the need to write this review for others as well."

Customers say: Quality work

"Steve did an amazing job, I recently bought the home and the wood burning fireplace was inoperable, Steve removed all of it, installed a new gas fireplace which included the need to run a new gas line and then installed new granite and built a brand new mantle. I have a lot of experience in construction and I will tell you he was incredibly professional and the work quality was exceptional"

"I needed a new hot water heater. I found out about Right-On Home Improvements and Plumbing through Home Advisor. The customer reviews were very good...very positive. My review will be the same. Dave and William were both professional and personable. When they came for the estimate, they spoke with me, not down to me. They listened to what my needs were and observed the work area. Within 10 minutes, they had a plan and an approximate price ( The official estimate was e-mailed to me very promptly). The work ethic and the quality workmanship were excellent! Great approach (here is the job...lets get it completed.) I worked in industrial construction for 40 years and I can tell a lot about people by the way they conduct themselves. William and Dave...wonderful! When they were finished (within the time frame that they had given me), the area was totally cleaned of any debris and the water heater operated and looked great. This is very important! The cost of the complete installation was exactly the estimate price. No extras...no add -ons. I could not have asked for a better experience...from estimate through installation. I would not hesitate to use Right-On in the future. Well done!"

"We found the Alliance Service Pros only recently. We liked them very much and do not hesitate to recommend their service for others. Here are our reasons why: Everyone we have come in contact with from this company has great attitude, mannerism and most of all, prompt service, quality work, filing permit and close follow-up with the town, customer orientation/service, etc. Our township plumbing inspector is also aware of the quality of their work and the inspection went like a breeze. We used their services initially for new toilet, bidet seats, water heater and also for a natural gas barbecue grill. The latter two required our townshipâ s permit and inspection. Two other companies which gave estimates didnâ t care to know what the BTU values of the grill I ordered even after the home visit and sent an estimate saying they could take the line from the fireplace! The grill size required a dedicated line from the meter. After the master plumber Keith Owens' visit to our home for a detailed scope of work, the office manager Amy and the service manager Jake prepared the estimate (decently priced after a slight negotiation) very quickly. They also use a smart text system to inform the ETA of Keith and the crew. Of course, we can call or email the office too. The office manager Amy knows the process very well. Amy was very sweet and polite during all our contacts, and she returned our calls very promptly. The service manager Jake was also easily accessible. The Journeyman Aaron, and other technicians Robert and Trevor were all knowledgeable, worked hard without taking a break and were polite and followed our request to wear a mask all the time when they were inside the home. We can tell that everyone has been with the company for a while and is happy to continue working in this company. We are very satisfied with their work and will definitely use their services in the future."

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

Yes, most states require a plumber to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed plumber could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations. Check our state licensing tool to review the local plumber guidelines.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification, which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

The difference between a built-in and regular grill is installation and design. A built-in grill is integrated into an outdoor kitchen or structure, often within a countertop or island. It is a permanent fixture. A regular grill is standalone, portable, or cart-mounted, allowing mobility and versatility in placement. Built-in grills are typically larger with more cooking space, while regular grills come in various sizes. Built-in grills are favored for creating a custom outdoor cooking area, while regular grills provide convenience and flexibility.

DIY is not recommended due to safety concerns. Professional installation ensures proper connections and compliance with codes.

On average, a gas grill can last from five to 15 years. The exact lifespan depends on several factors, including the brand and quality of the grill, frequency of use, and whether the gas line is buried or above ground. With proper maintenance and care, such as regular deep cleanings to remove food, grease, and carbon deposits, a grill's life can be extended. Protecting the grill from the elements with a cover can also prevent rust and reduce the need for repairs. Most grill manufacturers also offer extended warranties, which vary in coverage and terms.

Appliances typically connected to a gas line include gas stoves, water heaters, furnaces, and gas fireplaces. Essentially, any appliance in your home that uses gas needs to be connected to a gas line, which connects your home with the main gas line owned and operated by your gas company.
