"This review is for Brady and his helper who arrived promptly and immediately began working to fix my clogged kitchen sink. The issue I had seemed small to the untrained eye, but Brady immediately noticed the previous owners of my house I just recently purchased had been dumping grease for years. The issue was not in my sink or P Trap lines but rather in the lines in my basement. Brady and his partner diagnosed it quickly and efficiently and had to cut out a lot of pipes after exhausting all other options. I was very impressed how they were able to pinpoint the exact section of piping and replaced it making the sink line brand new again. Brady was extremely fair with the price and walked me through all options prior to doing any work so there was no surprises. This company is very honest and trustworthy and I couldn’t give them anything less than the top five star ratings they deserve. Thank you NJ Pro Plumbing, specifically Brady for helping us out."

"AJT Complete/Taner's team has done excellent job as planned and promised. Chimney - removed cement crown at top, reset damper and installed wire mash onto chimney and applied customized stucco. Retaining wall - rebuilt small section and cleaned cement off stone and reset with new mortar. Total cost 4.1k."

"Matt was beyond professional. He explained everything he was doing along the way and made sure I understood all the parts he was adding and how to take care of them in winter. The job required brazing new pipe, drilling through an exterior wall, and installing a hose bit on the outside of the house. Matt got the job done with a great attitude and a helpful, friendly communication style. I would highly recommend him and will definitely use Dawson again. Eileen on the phone was also lovely!"

"Alex was very responsive and we made an appointment for him to look at our driveway to give us a quote. He understood our drainage issues immediately and explained thoroughly what needed to be done to fix it permanently barring any biblical deluge. Alex got back to us quickly with a written quote that was very reasonable. We have decided not to go ahead with this investment at this time, but when we are ready, Alex is our man. We highly recommend him for his knowledge, experience, and prompt response time."

"This company was very organized from estimate to installation. The men they sent to complete the job: Caleb Haywood, Christian Garcia and Noah Jones were AWESOME. They worked on our job for a long time and they were professional from the minute they got here to the minute they left. They encapsulated our crawl space and it looks so so good. They cleaned up the yard and everything so well there was not even a tiny piece of material left. We would recommend the company and these installers to anyone which is rare anymore! Great job guys … thank you."

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can use hydrogen peroxide to unclog a drain. Instead of using a baking soda and vinegar solution, you can use baking soda with hydrogen peroxide. The process to unclog a drain is the same as with vinegar, but use 1 cup of hydrogen peroxide instead.

Snaking a drain can take as little as a few minutes for small, simple clogs, up to two hours or more for tough clogs located further down the drain line. For tougher clogs, a professional drain cleaner can likely get the job done much more quickly because they have the necessary tools and expertise. However, your drain cleaning pro might not be able to give you a firm time estimate until inspecting the clog and its surrounding plumbing.

A two-way cleanout can help if there’s already a clog, but the best strategy to prevent one is by not rinsing grease, oil, or fat down your drains, not flushing or rinsing coffee grounds or egg shells down your drains, flushing only human waste and toilet paper (so no diapers, period products, bathroom wipes, or paper towels), and using drain guards on all of your drains.

Yes, frozen pipes can cause a toilet to stop working correctly. If the pipes are frozen, water cannot flow, which can lead to two main problems. First, the supply line to the toilet tank may be frozen, which prevents the tank from refilling with water after you flush. Second, the drain pipe itself can freeze, blocking water from flushing away. As a temporary solution for a non-refilling tank, you can manually add water, but this is not a long-term fix. To clear a frozen drain pipe, you can try pouring warm water into the toilet bowl or tank and then flushing, as the warm water may help thaw the ice blockage. Ultimately, the best course of action is to unfreeze the affected pipes to restore your toilet to full functionality.

Yes—your local septic company can clean your septic leach lines with a sewer jetter, a device that pumps high-pressure water through the lines to blast out any clogs and scum buildup. Unless there’s a clog or blockage in the lines, however, you do not need to perform this maintenance regularly. Do not attempt to clean your own leach lines, as you could easily damage them, leading to very costly repairs.
