"These guys did an amazing job repairing the squeaky subfloor in my master bedroom they came the day after I called, lifted the carpet, diagnose the problem, bought the supplies made the repairs replaced the plywood, returned my carpet back to its original space, put all the furniture back and cleaned up meticulously. I came home to a beautiful squeak, free bedroom floor all for a reasonable price. I was thrilled I would definitely use Arias for any of my flooring needs moving forward."

"David and his team did an amazing job on our floors. They refinished our existing hardwood floors and installed new flooring in part of our home, and everything blends together perfectly. David promised to finish the job in three days, and he delivered exactly as promised. The team was always on time, cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day, and kept the house as neat as possible throughout the project. The quality of the work really stands out. The floors are beautiful, and they paid attention to every detail, especially around the kitchen cabinets, closets, edges, and the stairs. The dustless sanding system also made a huge difference. Best of all, there were no surprise charges. David was honest, easy to work with, and always responsive. We couldn’t be happier with the results and would definitely hire him again!"

Door transitions can work with virtually any flooring type; however, different transition strips lend themselves better to specific flooring types. For instance, if you are bridging the gap between a taller floor, like carpet, to a shorter floor, like hardwood, then you will want a transition strip with a slight slope to bridge the height difference. These transition strips are called reducer molding. On the other hand, if you are bridging two floors of the same height, you can use flat transition strips, such as T-strips and seam binders.

Clean with a damp mop, avoid excess water, and use furniture pads to prevent scratches.

Start the first row of vinyl planks along the longest or most visible wall in the room. This will create a clean, straight foundation row to build off of. Snap a chalk line to guide the first row, and use spacers for the most precise installation—these maintain an even extension gap between the flooring planks and the wall. Finally, double-check that the first row is level before moving on to the second row. If it’s not, start over and get it right before completing the rest of the floor.

Bamboo floors are fairly low-maintenance. You’ll need to sweep or vacuum them regularly to remove debris and rub off scuffs quickly to prevent permanent damage. Bamboo is vulnerable to moisture, so wipe up spills immediately to prevent permanent damage. When comparing bamboo flooring vs. hardwood, you’ll notice that the maintenance requirements are similar for both types of flooring.

In most cases, you do not need to put padding or underlayment under carpet tiles. Unlike traditional carpet, which requires a separate pad, carpet tiles are designed to be installed directly onto a firm subfloor like plywood, concrete, or tile. Many carpet tiles come with a built-in underlay and attach with peel-and-stick adhesive, double-sided carpet tape, or glue. For a more comfortable, cushioned feel, especially in residential settings, you can opt for padded carpet tiles that have a thicker underlay attached. While it's generally not recommended to install a separate pad, a compact underlayment might be used in some situations, though this typically requires professional installation. An acoustic underlay may also be considered in commercial spaces or multi-level homes where noise reduction is a priority.
