"Capital City Movers NYC are exceptional movers! Previously I had never found a moving company that I was overly satisfied with. I had posted in a facebook group and someone recommended them. I was hesitant at first but after speaking with the company I felt much more comfortable using them. They are pleasant to speak with and were very thorough when listing out the item move list. Their prices are also very reasonable. I was then able to modify the list as the move got closer and I had a better idea of what my list was. The day of the move the three movers arrived on time and were very efficient. They were careful with all my items and followed instructions thoroughly. I also thought they had great personalities. The three guys were very tall and very strong. I used foreman Peter and two other guys. I find a lot of moving company movers are miserable. During and after the move the company followed up to make sure the move went well. I would definitely use Capital City Movers NYC again. Thank you guys for everything!"

"The two movers were punctual and extremely hard working. They were able to meet my unreasonable timeframe and performed the work with a smile on their faces. I had several large pieces of furniture that had to go into narrow areas and they moved the pieces without a nick or scratch on any wall. "Communication was unbelievably poor, I was promised phone calls back and never received them, I had to call multiple times, half the time no one answered, the other time the person I needed wasn't available and was told he'd call back but never did. I had used them in the past and did not require multiple phone calls to set everything up but we had more questions this time around. The price was by far the cheapest around and we had an overall good experience last time (other than they were 45-60 min late) and thought we'd use them again. However, this time, they were 1.5 hours late (had a good reason when they arrived but never called with a heads up and when I called them no one answered), some of our personal tools went missing (drill charger, battery, etc, we think they may have assumed they were theirs), and they didn't assemble some shelving properly so while it is still functional the pieces are no longer intact. As I said, the price was about$50-100/hr cheaper than other companies I looked at and we had used them in the past, but after this second move I likely would not use them again."

"Our experience with G&G moving was excellent.  The communication pre-move couldn't have been better.  I received replies to my emails and calls almost immediately.  Leading up to the move, I had a phone call to confirm and set the time of their arrival.  On the day of the move, I received a phone call to give me 15 minute arrival time. 
The 3-person team was on time, professional, courteous, and got right to work.  We had heavy pieces of furniture that they moved with a few dings, but that was expected on our end. We also had exercise equipment downstairs that was quite difficult to get out of the basement that really slowed things down.   I know I was surprised on how much harder the move was.  I totally underestimated the job.  I think if I had been realistic they would have sent more than 3 people.  That being said, when the movers realized that they needed more people, they called and another mover came to help. 
What is really good about G&G Moving that you might not realize is a HUGE factor to consider when choosing a mover is that they charge a "flat rate."  I know I would have been STRESSING that the move was taking longer than I had planned if it had been a 3 hour + hourly charge. 
The team was very competent.  They had someone with expertise in taking furniture apart and back together, they had someone who specialized in appliances (which was very helpful getting a W&D into a small laundry room - he knew the tricks!)
Everything went as well as could be expected for the size of the move and my underestimating the difficulty of the move.  We definitely will highly recommend this company to our friends.
Realistically, looking back on the move, it went as smoothly as one could expect.
