"From the person answering the phone to the serviceman, all interactions were polite and professional. They got someone out to check out the problem (water on the basement floor around my a/c unit, which was not cooling well) on the same day I called, during a heat wave. The serviceman did a fair amount of work to find the problem. After he added refrigerant to the system it was working just fine, and with his suggestion I realized I didn't need to have the temperature set as low as I had been doing. The place stayed cool at a higher setting because it was working more efficiently and really pulling the humidity out of the air."

Customers say: Quality work

"Absolutely perfect. Mike returned my initial call instantly, showed up on time, did a terrific job at a very fair price. Fixed a leaking bathtub and broken garage pipe in the blink of an eye. Pleasant demeanor, good communication. Will definitely be using them again and recommending to friends and family. I wish all service professionals were as competent and decent as Mike and his son."

"Oscar was exceptional in repairing my AC unit. I called him on a Friday afternoon and he diagnosed the issue right over the phone. He would have came out the same day if it wasn’t due to the rain. Instead he came out Saturday morning and fixed the issue in about 30 minutes. The price was more than reasonable.I would highly recommend him to anyone."

"I would highly recommend this company for several reasons. When I had a pipe burst unexpectedly, they responded immediately to my call and were at my house in under an hour! Joe was super friendly and professional. He quickly assessed the issue, gave me a free estimate, and immediately completed the repair to perfection. He then checked all the other pipes in my house and even repaired a potential issue for free! I was extremely pleased with their work, pricing, and stellar customer service. Would absolutely recommend them and would call them again if I ever need a plumber!"

Boiler Repair questions, answered by experts

If you don't clean a boiler, you may have higher energy bills or no heat. A dirty boiler is inefficient and can't properly maintain a heating system. It may break down more often due to corrosion or clogs from soot and oil buildup. Cleaning a boiler improves its performance. The cost to replace a boiler can be expensive, so keeping it clean is a cost-effective practice.

DIY is not recommended due to safety risks and technical expertise required. Hire licensed professionals.

There are a couple of signs that will tell you it’s time to bleed the radiator. If the radiator is making noises, it’s typically because of trapped air, which you can release by bleeding the radiator. You can also test the radiator by turning on your heat and then placing your hand near the top and bottom of the radiator. If you feel cold spots, particularly at the top of the radiator, it’s time to bleed it.

The radiators closest in proximity to the boiler heating system will heat up first. Radiators in rooms farther away from the boiler will take longer to heat up and may be the coolest rooms in the house. The radiator unit itself should heat up evenly; otherwise, there may be trapped air inside it.

Boilers provide even heating, energy efficiency, and a quiet operation compared to forced air systems.
