We've been here for 44 years and this is far and away the best paint job we've ever had on the exterior of our house. Steve is is the best there is! Honest, trustworthy and professional. His crew is fantastic. Wilmer, the foreman, takes great pride in his work. From pressure washing, to prep, to painting, they did a great job. The prepping work was done with great care. Wonderful guys. They were here for six days and we were actually sorry to see them leave. They felt like family. Steve roofed our house 5 years ago and the roofing job, like the paint job, is the best we've ever experienced. Steve has also done a lot of carpentry work for us, including a new porch, and, once again, the absolute best work we've ever seen. The pricing is very, very fair. The roof replacement took only one day and once completed Niko made certain the work was perfect but that every nail and piece of debris was carted away. The stucco was repaired, followed by the exterior paint job and gutter and leader replacement. The exterior home painting was done thoroughly and details I did not even think of, his painters did! I would not think twice before recommending Gika's. Hernane Vilaca, the manager on the project would visit daily, call or text daily and also just take time to walk around the property and talk with me. He painted samples on my cedar shake so I could take a day or two and decide. Any cedar shake that was rotted or broken - they replaced with new and painted! Flying Colors Roofing and PaintersSteven and team did an outstanding job turning our home from one with chipped paint from multiple terrible painting jobs and gapping holes from woodpeckers to looking like a brand new home! The team replaced all damaged shingles, removed an old door and added shingles in its place to match the rest of the house, sanded down the old paint (over multiple days) and then painted beautifully. They also took some extra days to remove old wallpaper up our stairs and in our hallways, repaired the drywall and repainted. Every day the team was onsite and ready to work at the time we were told (and usually even early) and the project was wrapped up exactly when we were told, and surpassed all of our expectations. When I called them to book, I let them know that I had another lawn person who was unresponsive and stopped showing up. I explained that we need a leaf clean up and cut and then maybe up to two cuts after, because we were putting our house on the market, but when we move to our new house I would consider using them too. I was assured when booked that they didn't work like that they didn't work like that, and that they would get back to me. The initial leaf clean and lawn cut went well. Lawn looked nice and they stayed late to finish the job, however, one of the workers was on the phone a lot and standing by the truck while the other was working. I tipped them in addition to the price for the leaf clean up and cut job, which was not cheap. A comment was made of tip amounts that were given by other clients for their good service. It felt awkward, but, I was trying to figure out if this was going to be a good working business/client relationship, so I let it go. Called & texted them to schedule the lawn cutting after. They said they would be there the next week. Friday of that week came along with no visits and I wanted to let them know that we were having an open house on that Sunday and would appreciate if they could come before that. They texted me that they would try to get to me late afternoon that day. After that, they never came. They never responded to my texts, even when I texted again to ask if they would please let me know if I have to find someone else to do the lawn upkeep, no response.
