"We can't express enough our genuine gratitude on the awesome job Mike and Nick did refacing numerous 7 yr. old painted cabinets. Totally unbelievable! They refaced all the kitchen cabinets up to our ceilings. Made legs for our granite kitchen table along with other custom things my husband wanted and refaced a powder room cabinet to the ceiling. The guest bathroom was also refaced. Finally, my bathroom was completely transformed. They added shelves to an enormous to the ceiling quadruple linen closet. Heightened and customized a large countertop, installed a larger sink plus added 2 additional drawers to my existing 4 drawers. Useless space under the sink, they put in a huge slide-in drawer. They can and will make anything you need or want and absolutely go above and beyond. Mike, Nick and Cheryl are extremely professional, personable and accommodating. We admire their super strong work ethic (never late and minutes for a lunch break). Always respectful and then hustled to finish a days work with smiles on their faces. I wish you could see all the work they did. They deserve 10 stars and the wait was well worth it--trust me. They were meticulous. Perfection at the highest level!!!! All this work was done in 4 days. Generally, it’s best to repair your existing cabinets when the cabinet boxes are in good condition. Additionally, this option is best when you’re being budget-friendly or remodeling. 

Replacing your cabinets is best when you’re changing the layout of the room or when the cabinet boxes are in rough shape. It’s also best to replace your cabinets if you need more storage space, as this will remove the existing cabinets for new ones.

The difference between resurfacing and refinishing is that refinishing only works on solid surfaces that are in good condition, whereas resurfacing will restore a cracked or worn surface to its original, blemish-free state. Refinishing will leave you with a smooth and glossy surface you can’t get from resurfacing alone. If that’s the look you’re going for, contact a local concrete finishing contractor to achieve it.

Water-based wood fillers typically take longer to dry than oil-based or epoxy-wood fillers, especially when applied to large areas or deep cracks. Wood putty won’t dry completely, remaining slightly pliable.

You can DIY cabinet painting to save on costs, but keep in mind that you’ll need skill, time, and patience to get smooth paint coverage. Additionally, removing existing varnish or other finishes can be labor-intensive. You’ll pay between $200 and $600 on paint and supplies to take on this job, depending on the paint type and quality.
