"Its ok. I gave them a check for the total of $9500. He supposed to give me a receipt but never came back. I called him over 10 times already but no answer. He is not answering his phone. He damaged my table, the glass was shattered, they never told me that its broken. When they finished cleaning up they left. I started asking for a receipt since September 12 and it is over a month now. He also was asking me more money when he finished the job."

If you prefer not to sand your particle board cabinets prior to painting, you can use mineral spirits and a rough sponge to add some grit to your medium-density fiberboard cabinets so that the paint will still stick. You’ll need to properly clean your stained cabinets with a gentle mixture of vinegar and warm water and repair minor cracks and scratches when required. As long as you commit to maintaining stained wood cabinets, you can enjoy their beauty for many years to come. 

Small to medium-sized cabinetry typically takes three to five days, whereas large cabinetry takes around seven days. The complete process includes:

  • Removing cabinet doors, drawers, and hardware.

  • Removing the existing stain or paint.

  • Sanding cabinet frames, doors, and drawers.

  • Staining each side of the cabinetry one at a time. You’ll have to wait for the first side to dry before staining the other side.

  • Waiting for the doors, drawers, and frames to dry fully.

  • Reattaching hardware and hinges.

  • Putting the doors and drawers back on the cabinet boxes.

It can take as little as 30 to 60 minutes for wood filler to dry, but some products take up to four hours. Always read labels to ensure you're following the manufacturer’s instructions. Water-based wood fillers typically take longer to dry than oil-based or epoxy-wood fillers, especially when applied to large areas or deep cracks. Wood putty won’t dry completely, remaining slightly pliable.
