"This was a very involved plaster repair and remediation job, in a very old house. Grady is the only person (or company) who was willing to take on the job and drive all the way from Pennsylvania to our home in Northern Virginia. There are very few people who do this kind of work anymore (we really searched) and he is an expert in his field. We needed to work around his schedule, because he is in demand in the tri-state area, so it took awhile to schedule the work to begin... but it was worth it."

"We have been clients of Cowan’s Masonry for the last five years. We moved into a house that had a chimney that was in need of repair. It had a horrible down draft, leaked, and several of the bricks were broken. Mr. Cowan had some great ideas on how to cost effectively repair the chimney and fix the damper, and in a couple of days, had it in great shape (looks a lot nicer too). We use it every winter and now only need the yearly cleaning which Cowan’s provides as well. "Work was fantastic. Response time was immediate. They came to house to give quote I accepted and they began work immediately finished the job in one day and just needed to stop in 2 consecutive days in the morning to finalize as the patch work needed to dry. Repair was a 4’ tall by 3’ wide upside down T shape draywall removed due to leaking plumbing. Wall had curve and needed to match perfectly for trim to fit back on and not show the lines of new drywall. Wall looks as good as new and no repair can be seen after painting. Could not be happier with the entire experience."

"Exactly as expected. Gregory repaired both siding and gutter. After a heavy rain, the gutter repair has solved the problem. The trim repair matches well (white). This was a small job and I was pleased to have Gregory work it into his schedule. Both repairs required a 40' ladder as they were about 2 1/2 to 3 stories up. Given the work required and the height, I thought it was a fair price."

"Pat and his team were, by and large, fantastic. They executed on all aspects of the original quote flawlessly. The ribbon pointing around the stonework, especially in the front part of the house, turned out very nice. We're extremely happy with how the masonry looks. It went so smoothly, we added additional work onto the quote to seal the concrete and touch up paint along the exterior of the house. The painting wasn't as neat or clean as it could have been - it's probably a little step above what I could have done. Mostly importantly, when we encountered a couple of problems along the way, they were responsive and went above and beyond to sort it out. I think they approached the whole project very well, and even worked with us on the price for the add-ons. All-in-all, super solid work from a super solid contractor. Highly recommended."
