"NJ Select did an amazing job! Vinny was knowledgeable and professional and his crew did amazing work! We had a very large deck that was falling apart and needed to be taken down. The guys did all the demo and removal. We replaced it with a beautiful paver patio with a fire pit and walkway to our daughter's dance studio. They also built a large pergola we purchased for us, that was no easy task. It was a big job and they were pros throughout. We will definitely be using them for projects in the future!"

"Marvin, Romeo and their crew of 3 fellow laborers were the best! Great communication and coordination! They showed up at 8AM to place metal edging around our 75 foot semi-circular stone driveway and along our brick entry path. They dug out the existing plastic/rubber trim, inserted 11 boxes of 6”x 40” metal edging…10 strips per box by 3 PM. They cleaned up their work area, raked the stones to make our driveway level and hosed down the driveway They put all the old edging in industrial size plastic bags for town garbage collection. They are respectful, Industrious and pleasant to deal with and they are reasonable! I’ll have them back for other projects!"

"Profine Construction is terrific. Eric was extremely responsive and attentive from our original estimate through completion of our project. He provided alternatives to either repair or rebuild the brick steps in the front of our home, while offering advice but making clear that he would take care of us either way. We ended up rebuilding and the steps and railing seamlessly match our home, including a difficult to match brick and pattern. The job was done right and we would absolutely work with Profine again."

Masonry questions, answered by experts

Brick homeowners can choose eco-friendly masonry options such as permeable pavers for better drainage, recycled brick or stone, and insulated concrete forms to boost energy efficiency. Local masonry contractors often recommend light-colored materials to reflect heat and source stone from nearby quarries, minimizing environmental impact. Using sustainable mortar and energy-efficient construction methods can further support green building goals in Brick.

Helpful?

Completing masonry work in Brick offers immediate benefits like increased structural stability, improved resistance to coastal weather, and enhanced curb appeal. Over time, quality masonry helps prevent moisture intrusion and salt damage, which are common in Brick’s climate. Investing in professional masonry repair or upgrades can also reduce maintenance needs, improve insulation, and help your property retain value in the face of frequent storms.

Helpful?

Quality masonry work in Brick can significantly increase your home’s value and resale appeal. Features like new walkways, patios, or retaining walls attract buyers looking for low-maintenance, durable exteriors. Well-maintained masonry signals that your property is protected against coastal weather, which is highly valued in Brick. These upgrades can also help your home stand out in a competitive real estate market.

Helpful?

In Brick, masonry repair is usually more cost-effective for minor issues like mortar deterioration or small cracks, especially given the area’s exposure to salt air and freeze-thaw cycles. However, if you notice widespread structural damage or repeated water infiltration, replacement may be necessary. Consulting a local masonry contractor ensures you address the root cause and choose the best solution for your property’s long-term durability.

Helpful?

In Brick, small masonry repairs such as repointing or step fixes typically take 1–3 days, while medium projects like patios or walkways may require 1–2 weeks. Larger jobs, including foundation work or extensive outdoor features, can take 2–6 weeks. Project timelines depend on seasonal weather, permit approvals, and the availability of experienced masonry contractors, so early planning is recommended.
