"I couldn?t be happier with the work done by Dominion Construction!!! From the initial consultation to the final walk-through, their team was professional, punctual, and highly skilled. They communicated clearly at every stage, stayed on schedule, and delivered top-quality workmanship that exceeded my expectations. They handled everything: permits, managing subcontractors, or keeping the site clean and safe. TIM took care of everything with complete professionalism. I highly recommend TIM and his team to anyone looking for reliable, honest, and high-quality construction services. TRULY THE BEST !! Thank you Diane and John Jeffrrson !!"

"The company replaced old front-house stucco with traditional stucco in Tudor style. They did excellent job. The team of 7 people did it in just 2 days. They follow all the rules for the traditional stucco. II was very skeptical about the brown trim made from cement, but it looks like real wood!! So beautiful job. I highly recommend them."

Stucco questions, answered by experts

The Mediterranean style is unique in that it’s designed for homes in hotter climates and to maintain a connection with nature. The building materials include stucco siding, clay roofs, and interior tiling with tall ceilings and open floor plans. These all come together to keep the interior cool. The building materials are all natural and tend to have muted earth tones, and the architecture typically allows for easy, open access to the outdoors through large windows and arched doorways. The decor and architecture can range from simple and functional to opulent, depending on the type of Mediterranean home it is.

Stucco is durable, energy-efficient, and low-maintenance, making it a popular choice for exterior finishes.

Stucco applied over brick can last 30 to 50 years or more when correctly applied and properly maintained. Stucco’s lifespan can be shortened by improper application, incorrectly mixed material, lack of preparation before application, and lack of maintenance. To get the most life out of your stucco siding, keep up with maintenance and repair any damage as soon as you discover it.

Quikrete will set without mixing. The process of pouring dry concrete into your concrete form and then adding water is called dry pouring. While this method makes pouring concrete simpler and easier, it reduces its strength and durability. It can be a viable option for small, decorative concrete pavers for walkways or for setting fence posts, but it’s not ideal for pouring slabs that will bear any significant amount of weight.

Homeowners insurance may cover the cost of siding repair or replacement, but coverage depends on the cause of the damage. Most policies will cover damage from a covered event, such as a storm, wind, hail, fire, natural disaster, or other impact damage. Your policy might pay for the full or partial cost of the repair or replacement. However, damage resulting from age, general wear and tear, or neglect is typically not covered, and you should expect to pay for those repairs out of pocket. It is best to review your specific homeowners insurance policy for full details on what is covered, how to file a claim, and what documentation is required.
