"Anthony Nastasi of NB Woodworks, LLc, has our highest recommendation. He has worked with us over the past year on a variety of projects aimed at refurbishing and improving our home. This has included exterior trim replacement, replacing a box window with a French door and side light unit, and replacing a large unusually sized window. He also built a beautiful mahogony deck. Indoors, he installed a french door which included fine trim work. In addition, he hired excellent subcontractors to powerwash and paint our home and build a patio, porch and walks. We highly recommend Anthony's carpentry skill, as well as his problem solving, planning and coordination skills. He is also a dependable, honest person of fine character."

Small jobs welcome

"I had a few things that I wanted done it all started with one bedroom window, five new window shutters and a front door shutter. The house being 41 years old needed a face lift. I also had them repair the front doorstep / sill. Family company that has a great crew and was able to complete everything in one day, I couldn't have been happier with the results and my wife is very happy to have all these repairs done. I highly recommend them and will use them in the future for other repairs"

Doors questions, answered by experts

Brick homeowners should review HOA or historic district guidelines for door design and color before starting a door replacement or repair project. Flood zone regulations may affect threshold height and material choices. Scheduling work outside hurricane season and considering contractor availability can help avoid delays. Proximity to the coast and sandy soil may require reinforced installation, so consulting local experts is recommended for the best results.

Helpful?

In Brick, homeowners often encounter extra costs for permits, code upgrades, or repairs to hidden wood rot and termite damage uncovered during door installation. Sandy soil can require additional reinforcement for door frames. If you’re adding smart locks or video doorbells, older homes may need electrical updates. Disposal of old doors and sourcing materials that meet HOA or historic guidelines can also add to your project scope.

Helpful?

Upgrading doors in Brick offers immediate benefits like improved insulation, storm protection, and enhanced curb appeal—especially important in coastal neighborhoods. Over time, you’ll notice increased property value, reduced maintenance needs, and potential insurance perks for storm-rated doors. Quality door installation also means better security and fewer repairs, making your home more resilient to NJ’s challenging weather conditions.

Helpful?

If your Brick home has doors that stick, allow drafts, or show signs of rust, peeling paint, or swollen frames, it’s time to consider door repair or replacement. Homes near the coast or built before 1980 are especially prone to issues from humidity and salt air. Upgrading to modern, weather-resistant doors can improve security, energy efficiency, and comfort for your household.

Helpful?

Brick’s coastal weather brings high humidity, salt exposure, and frequent storms, which can cause wood doors to swell and metal hardware to corrode. These conditions make door installation and repair especially important. Planning your project for late spring or early fall helps avoid peak moisture and temperature swings, ensuring better results and longer-lasting door performance in NJ’s unique climate.
