"I am so pleased with the work they did! It is just perfect, neat and all cleaned up. They cleaned a bed of weeds along with curb and driveway weeds too which I did not request. So they go above and beyond too! I would highly recommend Royal Landscapes. I have them for a few years."

"The entire project went fantastic. Derek and Dave were awesome. Derek is the owner and dealt with him through all the estimating of my project. He answered all my questions in a timely manner and we easily the most knowledgeable about doing the hardscape work my wife and I wanted completed. He wasn't the cheapest of the quotes I received but that isn't why we selected him. He was going to do the best job and we were definitely glad about our decision. During the project Derek stepped back and Dave took aver and nothing changed. He was always on time and again answers every question we had and was helpful during the entire process. Everyday when I came home my yard was one step closer to being finished and always cleaned up after themselves. They treated my project like it was there own. I would recommend them for any project and can't wait till we get to work with Derek, Dave and his entire sun Viking team!"

"My husband and I removed shrubs from out front garden. However, the stumps/roots were too hard for us to remove on our own. Sunsational Landscaping did a wonderful job. They understood that we work long hours during the day and surveyed the project as well as completed the project while we were at work. The price was even less than we were expecting!"

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

When planting, it's best to leave several feet between a house and a juniper bush. Many juniper varieties will become quite bushy and require space to grow. Juniper branches that come into contact with siding can damage the home's exterior over time. Also, some juniper bushes have aggressive roots that can put pressure on a home's foundation or basement walls.

It’s usually best to buy plants from a local greenhouse or nursery yourself, but landscapers are also a reliable option. First, you can choose exactly what plants you want based on their appearance rather than relying on your landscaper to choose. Additionally, while it’s more time-consuming to go buy the plants yourself, you’ll often save money because landscapers charge for delivery and may upcharge the plants. You can also speak to a professional at a nursery to ensure you understand how to care for your plants and get the most long-term value.

Yes, you can absolutely transplant bushes instead of removing them completely. The success depends on the size of the bushes, their age, and the transplanting season. Ideally, transplant during the dormant season (late fall or winter). Dig out the entire root system in one piece, fill the new hole with fresh soil and mulch, and water thoroughly after planting.

Costs for lakefront landscaping are influenced by project size, choice of plants and materials, labor, and any additional features or structures desired. Projects can range from a few thousand dollars to extensive transformations costing much more.

While both fall and spring are suitable times of the year for planting trees, fall is typically the better option. Soil stays warm long enough to allow tree roots to establish in fall before they go dormant, while spring might give way to intense summer heat before spring-planted trees have time to grow strong roots.
