"The service technician Victor arrived on time and politely introduced himself. Prior to commencing work he inspected the work area (installation and clearances etc). He explained the house heating would be off as he cleaned filters etc. After cleaning/adjustment/testing was conducted, he went over the test results printout with me. All good and nothing required further work."

"Repairs were excellent and thorough "even well documented". The tech found units low on coolant. He identified and repaired multiple refrigerant leak points. I have dealt with many HVAC contractors over the years and Freedom Air Mechanical is one of the best. I highly recommend."

"My boiler in Wolfeboro NH failed suddenly. It was old and needed to be replaced anyway but I was hoping to get another season out of it. I called quite a few boiler companies and had difficulty even getting someone to answer the phone. Then I lucked out. I called Ed Grant and he answered his phone. It was November and getting cold. He came out to the house promptly and very professionally installed my new boiler. Not only is this guy honest, straight forward but he is such a hard worker. He worked diligently until the job was up and done. Absolutely no headaches, no bullshit, and not a salesman whatsoever. Ed Grant is the REAL deal if you need a new heating system. I would hire him again in an instant without a worry. A+. Thanks, Ed Brian Whitehouse"

"Working with Triumph was an amazing experience. The entire team is professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and well spoken. In New England where heating is an essential service I felt totally confident Triumph would do a superb job installing my new boiler. They even moved their schedule around to install the unit the very next day. I plan to hire them in the future for all my heating, cooling, and plumbing needs."

"Tyler was extremely helpful and accommodating and helped me on very short notice with 2 plumbing projects recently, even spending almost an entire Saturday working when a washing machine install ended up being more work than expected. He is professional and extremely reasonably priced. Will definitely recommend and use for all of my plumbing needs."

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

Warmed or cooled air can escape your home through drafty windows and doors. If you notice any gaps, be sure to caulk and seal them. You can also hire a local pro for an energy audit to get a list of energy-saving recommendations.

Finally, check your insulation. It can settle in over time and become less effective. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates that you can save an average of 15% on heating and cooling costs (or 11% of total energy costs) by sealing leaks and making sure attics, crawl spaces, and basements have a nice layer of insulation.

A furnace is a big unit where gas, heating oil, or electricity heats the air. The warmed air is then pushed back out through ducts and vents.

A boiler uses electricity, heating oil, or gas to heat water that is pushed into the room through a radiator. This is one of the oldest and most effective ways to heat a house, but radiators can also be unsightly and leave hot and cold spots in the room.

Heat pumps use a refrigerant to move heat from outside into the house and return it to the room through ducts and vents.

If you hear your radiator clanking even when it’s turned off, it’s typically because there’s trapped water or air in the system, causing a pressure buildup. When you hear significant clanking, popping, crackling, or banging in a radiator that’s turned off, you’ll want to bleed the pipes or call in an HVAC specialist to deal with the problem (and prevent it from happening in the future).

Oil boilers provide reliable heating, efficiency, and long-term cost savings compared to electric options.

Hydronic and standard electric baseboard heaters differ in how they operate, their cost, and their performance. Standard convection heaters use electric coils to heat the air directly, while hydronic heaters warm a contained liquid like water or oil, which then radiates heat into the room.

In terms of cost and efficiency, hydronic heaters usually have a higher upfront price but are more energy-efficient and cheaper to run over time. This is because the heated liquid retains warmth, allowing the heater to continue providing heat for a while after the thermostat turns it off. In contrast, electric heaters provide heat more quickly but are less efficient.

Ultimately, the better choice depends on your priorities. If you need a room to heat up fast and have a lower initial budget, an electric heater might be suitable. If long-term energy savings are more important and you don't mind a slower heat-up time, a hydronic heater is likely the better option.
