"I have a Navien Combi system installed in my house. To be perfectly frank it's not what I would have installed now knowing a bit more about them but Kevin was willing to familiarize himself with the system and research a bit about the furnace. I've called a large number of HVAC companies and individuals and the resounding response I received was "we don't work on those" and the click sound of being hung up on. Kevin was willing to work with my schedule and was perfectly on time for a morning appointment which allowed me to finish off the rest of the things I had to do. A huge plus! It's been a home advisor win for this home owner."

Small jobs welcome

"Paul did an amazing job creating my unique vision. He created and installed literal catwalks from the ceiling giving my 3 cats a place to escape from the dog. It looks awesome and the cats love it! Great service, price and craftsmanship. Will definitely be calling him again for whatever project I come up with next."

Nest Installation questions, answered by experts

Ticks aren't dangerous, but their bites are often imperceptible thanks to a numbing agent in their saliva. They can carry and transmit pathogens to people and animals, leading to diseases such as anaplasmosis, babesiosis, and Lyme disease. So if you live in a region with a high tick prevalence, tick treatment is worthwhile to keep your family and pets safe.

When baiting an iguana trap, several items should be avoided. Do not use poisonous baits, such as those intended for rats or mice. This practice is often illegal, is unlikely to attract iguanas, and poses a significant risk to pets or other wildlife. Additionally, avoid using herbs, fruits, and vegetables that are toxic to iguanas, such as fresh sage, rosemary, avocados, and eggplants. While ripe fruit can be an effective bait, be sure to remove any pits or seeds from fruits like apples, pears, and peaches, as they are highly toxic. Finally, steer clear of citrus fruits, which act as a natural deterrent.

Carpenter bees do not make honey like honey bees, but they are still essential pollinators. In fact, they have a unique talent called "buzz pollination," in which they use the vibration from their wings to help release pollen from the flowers' anthers. Honey bees are also vital pollinators but do not use this process because they are too small and lack the strength required to buzz pollinate.

Like many animals, gophers are bothered by strong scents. Peppermint oil, eucalyptus oil,  and coffee grounds can be used as deterrents against these pests. Similarly, you can try planting lavender, rosemary, sage, geraniums, or pine trees, as these plants all have strong smells that can ward away gophers. While it may be less pleasant to work with, coyote urine scares gophers by tricking the pests into thinking your yard is a predator hot spot.

If rats found a spot they liked to build a nest, then it’s possible more rats will show up or return to that same spot. That’s why it’s important to close off any access points rats may be using to get inside your home.
