"We were in a tight time crunch to get patio walls and concrete steps repaired because we were told our pool area ground prep was starting the next day. I listed my project and heard from 3 Brothers Masonry within 20 min. They arrived 2 hours later and gave us a quote. We agreed and they came back and finished the job that same afternoon, as agreed. We appreciated the quick response, the appreciation of our time constraints, and the timely completion of our repair project, as quoted, both in workmanship and price. We highly recommend them!"

"Mixed review I had spoken with other radon remediation companies and received quotes before meeting with Erickson Foundation Solutions. The salesman, Chris, seemed much more thorough in his approach and he gave a presentation explaining radon, its danger and the process to remove it. The quote was slightly higher than another quote, but I felt more confident. And with the added fan moisture guard, the system came with a 10-year warranty. So I agreed to the proposed plan and paid a deposit. Later I decided to not install concrete in the adjacent (but not connected) basement/crawl space. I asked Erickson to quote installation of plastic sheeting to seal that space. John, the sales manager’s quote doubled the total price. I already had found durable plastic sheeting for about $300. So how would that become $2000 extra? John explained that there would be a drainage mat under the plastic and it would be attached every few inches to the walls and then sealed with caulking. But besides sealing the area, the quote also included another extraction hole and piping to connect it to the fan. This seemed to me like over-kill for a 1200 square-foot house. But he said without the second extraction location, they would not warranty the job. So I accepted the “up-sell” and signed. Today the office called to tell me when the crew would arrive and they arrived on time and were very pleasant. However, they did not have the drainage mat. They called their supervisor and was told that it was not included in the quote and would be an additional charge. In fact it had been a verbal inclusion, not written. The crew was surprised that a second extraction hole was quoted, since the radon levels were not very high to start (3.8 and 5.4). So I feel that I accepted a possibly unnecessarily elaborate system, more elaborate than I probably really need, for twice the price. And didn’t receive the drainage mat that I was told would be part of it."

"I called Nick and left a message for him to call me and he did so promptly.  I gave him a verbal description of the problem and emailed photos.  He quoted me a price and we made an appointment.  He arrived promptly, was professional and courteous.  A few hours later, the crack had been filled and he went over the details with me, showing me what he did, explaining why it would work and what to do if I had any issues.  After he left he emailed the warranty policy to me just as he promised.
I was very pleased with all aspects of his work and professionalism.  I would definitely recommend his company to others.

"Overall, I'm very happy with the work. Saimir arrived 30 minutes late, but he completed the work on my front stairs in a few hours. They look great, the price was much better than the other masons I asked to get estimates from, and he was extremely nice. I'll contact him again if I need any other brick work done."

"We called Ranieri Construction because a combination of ground settling and a sloppy repair made our concrete pool deck not only cracked and uneven, but also unsightly. Lou Ranieri explained that they couldn’t fix the cracks as they were, but would have to remove the filler from the first repair, grind down the uneven surfaces and stain the whole surface to achieve an even color. Once the plan was in motion, Andrew Ranieri worked tirelessly to grind down and level all the surfaces – this man is a definite perfectionist and the even surface is better than we ever thought was possible. A skim coat was applied and, once hardened, the whole area was cleaned and stained. It’s beautiful! We can’t say enough about how diligent Lou and Andrew are in their, often backbreaking, work. Once completed, the work area was left spotlessly clean. This is the type of company all should strive to be – a company where work ethic, integrity and the correct way of solving a problem are paramount. Thank you, Ranieri Construction! You're the best!"

"Crack-X has sent Tom to come to fix it. I am very satisfied with the work Tom did on my basement crack on June 19. He was very professional. He would inform me his lateness due to the traffic. When he’s here, he would tell me what he would do and how long it would take for each step. He finished the work just as he said. I am so glad that all is moving so smoothly. The fix has stood the tests of the last a few rains and no any sign of leaking again."

Concrete Mudjacking questions, answered by experts

Trenching and boring are two distinct methods for installing underground utilities. Trenching involves digging a channel using equipment like an excavator, trencher, backhoe, or shovel. While it is a simpler process, it causes significant disruption to the surface, landscaping, and surrounding ecosystems.

Boring, also known as directional boring, is a less invasive alternative that uses a drill to create a tunnel for utility lines without disturbing the surface. This method is more precise and is ideal for installations that need to go underneath buildings, roads, or bodies of water. Although boring is less disruptive, it is generally more expensive than trenching.

A good slump height really depends on the project, but there is a use for nearly all slump levels. For example, low slumps are best in projects that require structure, such as curbs and roads. High slumps often require additional reinforcement, but they flow more freely into hard-to-reach spaces.

The timeframe is generally a few hours, allowing for immediate use post-hydration, ensuring minimal disruption to surrounding activities.

Most projects take 1-3 hours, with immediate usability after completion.

Mudjacking can be an expensive foundation repair process, but in many cases, it’s well worth the investment. This is especially true if you’re lifting a portion of sunken foundation slab back into place. In that case, mudjacking can help avoid major structural damage and even home collapse by restoring the integrity of your structure with minimally invasive procedures. Mudjacking a concrete patio, walkway, or sidewalk can be worthwhile because it removes tripping hazards and makes your outdoor area more aesthetically appealing.
