"Asked this company to give us a bid to clean not an estimate. They quoted the job from the phone after we gave the square footage and details. They were told it was a 2 bedroom and 2 bath. After the cleaning we had to have them come back. The cleaning person explained her steamer had quit and needed some more cleaning supplies.and that was why she left it dirty. They weren't coming back until we called them back. They sent out the first bill for the exact bid amount. After we called them back to do the job properly they sent out another bill $80 higher and explained that they didn't know there were so many rooms to clean. We had other quotes that were cheaper but this company had better reviews. No quotes were as high as the last bill they sent. Bait and Switch. Watch out."

Each flooring material has its own maintenance requirements and cleaning techniques. For example, hardwood floors may require occasional refinishing and specialized cleaning products, while vinyl and laminate are easy to clean with regular sweeping and mopping. Concrete and natural stone, on the other hand, may need periodic sealing to maintain their appearance and durability. Laminate flooring takes about 24 to 48  hours to settle. Before this, planks are not completely acclimated to your home, and walking on them could cause shifting and permanent damage to the flooring. You should allow floorboards to acclimate for 48 to 72 hours before installing so that they can adjust to your home’s humidity and temperature levels, but they will continue to acclimate and settle after installation. For this reason, avoid placing any furniture in the room for 72 hours after installation.

Your floors will continue to settle for a few months after installation, becoming less bouncy as they rest.

While it may not always be ideal, you can fix a squeaky floorboard without removing the carpet. Pros use specialized carpet screws and drive them through the carpet into the subfloor, securing floorboards. They may also use nails instead of screws if they suspect the pile will get caught in the screw. While some types of carpet will hide the screws and nails, a low-pile carpet may not.
