Everything went by as smooth as a fresh jar of Skippy. From Day 1, Shane was professional, friendly, and clearly took pride in his workmanship. He constantly communicated about what he was doing and never once left us wondering whether the final results would be good. When all was said and done, Shane's hard work resulted in an absolutely beautiful hardwood floor throughout the house. I seriously couldn't have asked for a better person to handle this project.

Shane and Jacob are conscientious, courteous, organized, smart, and experienced. They planned ahead and had very little waste (we bought an extra 10% and were able to return about 9% for credit because of their efficiency). Another contractor estimated 2-3 days for the job but it was finished in 1 day. It looks great, and they had the best price!

Most of the floor turned out good but they had some mistakes they needed to fix. They came back quickly to fix them but the seal coat doesn't match the original anymore (still need to fix this). They said wait a whole month and maybe it will look better (it's not looking better after 2 1/2 weeks so far). Also, the damaged the wall in the bathroom with their equipment but they are taking the price to fix wall off of the bill.

It went very well. I was in a pinch for time and they adjusted the schedule to exceed what I needed. They listened to what I was wanting and made suggestions for stain that was perfect. They did a great job of communicating with me and updating me on the work. I appreciate how they fit me in on such a short time frame. Would gladly hire again or recommend to a friend.

Excellent! Shane and his crew were honest - they gave me information about small details that I didn't know were relevant - their craftsmanship was beautiful, they were timely and very clean. Pricing was fair, and on point. *Pictures shown are of the completed flooring, but the project, as a whole, is not complete.

It was great - they were in and out in 2 days and I love my floor! So do my allergies! I will definitely use them for my next floor project. They had a flooring wholesaler they worked with where I picked out what I wanted.

Shane and Jessy were great to work with-- excellent communication, very friendly, punctual, thorough, and very professional.  Jessy was here a total of 4 times, not including the estimate.  Day 1 he sanded the floors and did the first coat of polyurethane.  Day 2 he re-coated.  Day 3 he buffed the floors twice and applied the third coat of polyurethane.  Day 4 he inspected the work, installed the spacer, and taught me how to maintain the wood.
I couldn't be happier with the results!  In fact, one of my neighbors was so impressed, he hired them on the spot to work on his house as well.
I would definitely recommend Atlas Hardwood to anyone looking to restore their hardwood floors, and will hire them again any time I ever have similar needs!

He arrived at the agreed upon time and did the work quickly. He arranged for an additional helper and also found someone to roll the carpets to the two bedrooms that adjoined the living room. Work area was cleaned up afterwards. Reasonable cost and close to prior estimate. Very friendly as well.
I also was given an estimate and guidelines on the threshold pieces to buy. I did like buying my own flooring from the retailer of my choice.

Shane came out, gave us a fair quote, and we setup the job within the next week. He and his crew got the job done in three and a half days, which is impressive as it was a two man crew. They are extremely professional, and made sure that the job was done right, going the length to ensure the wood was installed the right way. They were clean, and on time. I would use them again if we ever decide to have our basement done in wood.

Shane is great! He did an amazing job installing the flooring and was a pleasure to work with. He knew what we wanted and made it happen!

The service is really great.  He really worked with us and did what we wanted.

It went well, overall. We bought the flooring from Home Depot and they actually sent someone out to ensure the job was being done well. The carpet and tile removal went quicker than they'd thought it would and they were able to get started on installing the new floor the first day. They thought they'd be finished the second day, but the fellow working for Shane had to leave unexpectedly early and they had to come back for a few hours on Saturday to finish the molding. He was very good about letting me know how it was progressing and was very apologetic about the extended time, but it was fine and it turned out beautifully.

Shane Lavy installed a full second floor bamboo hardwood floor. The area had many corners, turns, doorways, etc. It is beautifully installed with the grain all going the same direction and boards perfectly aligned. He was meticulous in the installation and cleaned up completely when finished. Excellent work at a very reasonable price for the installation.
