Amazing. I am so so so glad we hired David wood floors for the job. Jean, the owner was very responsive from the first time I met her. We had to postpone the job multiple times due to delay in closing but not once did she complain. The workers were very professional and did great work. The prices were very competitive. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. I had one small repair request after work completion and the worker came back promptly and fixed it.

David Wood Floors did a beautiful job. All the workers were very professional and concerned about their work and the outcome. The price was very reasonable.

Work has yet to be done

Jean was referred to me by a co-worker. Replaced 1500 square feet of carpet and tile with maple wood floors. They removed all the baseboard and quarter-round, then reinstalled it after the floors were done. The painter I had come in afterward noted that he was shocked with how good of a job they did with this - no damage or evidence that all the baseboard had been removed and reinstalled. Everyone I encountered was extremely responsive, professional, helpful. Jean does not try to hard sell you; she is a no-nonsense, get-the-job-done person, which I appreciated very much. She gave me suggestions, explained all the options, and helped me settle on the best product for me. The price was not the cheapest of the bids we received, but was worth it to me to spend the extra, and I'm happy I did.

They were ontime and did an outstanding job for the price they quoted   I was amazed

David Floor was very responsive when I contacted them and Jean came out right way and provided a very competative bid. They started the work in a timely manner. At the beginning, work progressed at an acceptable pace even though the work crew didn't show up until around 9am and left around 3pm. Unfortunately, issues came up with the final coating of the floor which is the most important. After the third coat was put and dried, we notice several places where the person had missed spots on the floor and there was even a large work boot footprint in the middle of the hallway. David Floor came out and inspected and agreed another coat would be necessary to cover the flaws. Again the same person came out for the fourth coat and again in left another footprint in a different spot. Jean came out this time and attempted to repair the spot but it looks worse than the original footprint. We have decided not to thave David Floor try any more corrective measures but will look elsewhere when it is time to have the floors refinished.

We couldn't be happier with the work that was done. Our kitchen floor has been restored to its natural beauty and now looks brand new!
As long as we were going to have our kitchen floor sanded down and refinished, we wanted to change the color of the stain to better match our cabinets and new quartz counter tops, and Jean knew just what stain color would do the trick, so we went with her suggestion and it looks terrific!
The crew did a great job of covering the cabinets (upper and lower), the island, and totally draping off the entire kitchen from the rest of the house while performing the sanding phase of the process. This greatly minimized the dust that was produced.
I would highly recommend David Wood Floors to anyone who wants quality workmanship, years and years of know-how, and an easy company to work with.
To the reviewer who thinks them pricey, let me just say that I got another estimate for this job from a different company and (1) they didn't do any of the masking off of cabinetry and isolating the kitchen like this company is so careful to do and (2) they wanted $225.00 more for the same work and acted as though they would be doing me a big favor to do the job.
If you don't at least get an estimate from these folks for your wood flooring needs, I think you'd be shortchanging yourself both in price and quality of workmanship.

From the estimate to completion of the project Jan at David's was very easy to work with. They showed up on time, finished quickly, minimized the dust and cleaned up when they were done. They spent the time to address my questions and concerns. The room also had a large area of damage. When David's was done you can't tell it was ever there.
We will call Jan and David's as we refinish the rest of the floors in our house

I was extremely happy with the price compared to other companies that provided estimates for us. I was also happy with the finished product. We've received several compliments on our floors and have had many people now interested in wood flooring in their own homes after seeing our floors. The owner Jean is always available for questions, even after business hours and is very prompt.

Jean and her crew were excellent through the entire process. From helping us select
a wood for our floors, to installing and finishing. Our floors were completed
in a timely manner, the cleanup was always satisfactory and communication
excellent. We are very happy with our choice in David Floors and would highly
recommend their services.

This is the second house jean and her team at David's wood floors has worked on for us They may be a little more expensive but their creativity, eye for detail, and professional work are worth the investment They started the job on schedule, were flexible working with multiple contractors we had at the house and even mentioned their concern on the shoddy work being performed by Ted Manor Construction(that is another story) Highly recommend Jean and her team for any type of wood flooring project

Phenomenal!! Punctual, attentive and extremely hard-working. I cannot say enough good things about Jean and the installers that did the job. This is a great company - Jean impressed us right from the get-go with her attentiveness, competency and design suggestions for our new wood floor.

-Despite another person's note that the David Co was too pricey I decided to call them for an estimate. The owner of the company Jean, showed up after making an appointment.
-She told me what she could do for all of the areas that had unsightly spots due to the nails used for the wall-to-wall carpeting that was covering the floor when I bought the house.
-Jean also suggested that I also include a tailor-made air vent to avoid having one bought from a store that would be raised up. I originally said 'no.' However she showed me a book of what I would have for an additional $69. Then I said 'yes' and I am glad I did. It is so professional and if I didn't do it, I would have regretted it later.
- It was left up to me to remove all furniture from the areas that were to be worked on; however she also offered to have two men come and help me with the bigger items.
- It was highly recommended that I leave the house for five days.
-On the day they were to start they were on time and fully engaged in their work immediately. The owner of the company wanted me there at the beginning so I could choose the stain color (several shades of stain were put right on the raw wood). I initially told her to just go with the color I wanted, but once it was on the raw wood I could see that I wanted it darker; I was happy that she insisted I come and see for myself. Otherwise I would have had a floor with a color that was far too bright.
-Jean told me to contact her if I had any problems with the floor, like spots or areas that needed fixing.

Excellent. Jean, owner, is outstanding. She is a nationally recognized wood floor installer and knows everything about wood floors. If you have a problem, she knows how to fix it. She lightly sanded our floors about 6 years ago and gave them a fresh coat of polyurethane so they looked new. Now it was time to tear up our remaining carpet and add wood floors in the rest of the house. Her crew arrived on time and did the job as promised. She even designed a special wood design for my dining room, which no one else has, to set it apart from the rest of the house. Simple and elegant. A true artist. Her crew love their jobs and they love Jean. All work so hard. Pleasant and easy to work with. Jean works very hard to assure complete satisfaction! She goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy and how could you now be with real wood, installed by a professional with years of experience, and someone who loves her work so much. She and her crew are the best!

David Floor did an excellent job. They were in and out quickly and did quality work.

Floors look great!

Jean and her crew gave us a thorough briefing on the work and what we needed to do in preparation. They completed the work--sanding, several coats of finish, clean up--on time. Jean instructed us about floor care and has visited us on more than one occasion after the work was complete to give us additional advice. Months after the job was finished, Jean even came to our house to clean a stain we had caused in the new floor! Both the quality of the work and the quality of the service were outstanding. Incidentally, the company has moved. They now are located at 5875 South 77th St. The phone book has the new address.

Their price was reasonable. The quality of their work was good. I will use them again in the future.

What a phenomenal, awesome job they did. They made me feel really good about the work they did. They were prompt and I would tell friends and family to used David's only if they wanted the best job done in this line of work.

This job started out a nightmare, as the man that showed up didn't seem like he even wanted to be here. While doing the job, they put red oak filler on the floor to blend in with the maple, which was not what the agreement was. It took them four days to screw this up. There were about four of them, and they were rude. I paid them $1500 of the $3000 up front, but needless to say, I cancelled the check, and they agreed with me.
